We stumbled upon this restaurant in the city and absolutely loved it! The employees were so kind and helpful the whole night. They squeezed us in on a busy Friday night and we thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks!

If you want to get something to eat before sampling the best nightlife that Valencia has to offer then Al Pomodoro is probably the place for you. A friend and I went here for dinner and the food is just perfect for sharing while having those great conversations that amazing food always seems to promote. The restaurant balances the look of an old-style Italian home with the freshness that you would expect from a modern restaurant.
We grabbed some pretty diverse options so we could sample the best that this place had to offer. The Cesto Fritto was fresh and the batter on the tempura was crisp - the ideal combination. The Sgabei Con Salse was a fresh take on pizza, which we have been looking for all our lives! It takes pizza dough, fries it and serves with a creamy cheese sauce, spicy salsa and black olive tapenade. You have to go to Al Pomodoro just for this.
The Tortellini Rustica Di Noci is like a taste of Italy on a plate. It is made fresh from scratch and tastes like it! The pasta is filled with a range of ingredients that includes nuts and tastes like you are sat in the Italian hills surrounded by family. Just amazing from the first bite to the last. We fought over every forkful! If you love the taste of truffles (who doesn't?) then the Rigatoni Tartufo Gorgonzola will delight you. It did us!
Then the desserts are just as mouth-watering as the rest of the food. We got affogato and carrot cake with vanilla icing so we could share together. They both were the ideal way to finish a great meal. I recommend you visit al Pomodoro whenever you are in or near Valencia. It is worth it for the trip alone.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John C.Petaluma, Vereinigte Staaten201512351. Apr. 2017
Really nice Wait staff. Fast and efficient. Food was great. Quinoa salad is refreshing and the gorgonzola truffle cream pasta dish was great. Desserts we super. Looking around we saw people slamming down pizzas . So pizza must be great too ! Nice experience.

By our hostel's recommendation, we went to find al Pomodoro down the side street. I haven't had pizza since Italy but this one was amazing.
I had this great pizza called the Diavolante, with spicy aubergines, fontina cheese, spicy salami, basil, tomato and mozzarella. Can I say AMAZING again?!
My friends' choices were just so good I didn't even get a taste! The atmosphere in there was really nice, with friendly waiters. It didn't stay quiet for long - as soon as one table was cleared it filled up pretty quickly again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Terry C.Hampton, Vereinigte Staaten6610125. Jan. 2018
Great pizza! We sat upstairs and enjoyed a gin and tonic before dinner. It came in a chalis! Awesome! My wife who normally does not eat much finished her whole pizza!! Excellent, even the crust was great! Good people, great vibe! Really enjoyed a nice dinner in a hip and laid back environment.

My husband and I came here while on our honeymoon AND for Thanksgiving! Not really an American Thanksgiving but we were thankful nonetheless ;) Italian isn't the easiest thing to request vegan without becoming flavorless since we omit all dairy but the food was fantastic. We didn't make a reservation and had no problem getting a table on the 2nd floor when they opened for dinner but they quickly had a full house. All tables were full so we were thrilled - must be a good sign!
The portions were small so we ordered 3 entrees, had bread and even requested a custom dish. There wasn't anything strictly vegan on the menu but our waitress was incredibly accommodating and understanding. She really made the entire experience. The restaurant was also in a great location after a day of touring and visits. If you're looking for Italian, this is the place to be! Have the wine too, don't hold back!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Zeva R.Valencia, Spanien111505. Jan. 2017
Pizza is great! thumbs up for that definitely. We got a pizza with vegetables on it and there was no sauce or cheese. We got something else and it was also dry. But I recommend the margarita pizza.

This is a tough one for me as I did like the food. I have been coming to Valencia for the past three years and have always had a hard time getting into this place. It is quite small and it seems to be popular amongst tourists as well as locals. The other day I was walking by with my son and we saw they had an open table so we jumped on it. As soon as we sat down several people tried to get a table and were turned away. My son ordered a pizza and it was very good according to him...he is an expert on pizza. I ordered a pork dish in a white wine lemon sauce and it was also quite good. For an appetizer we had some of the chicken fingers which were delicious. The menu of the day came with dessert and that was quite good as well. The problem that I have with this place is their schedule.... They open for lunch later than most places and close at the same time. The window is just very small for eating there. Their dinner schedule is also a little strange as they do not open until at least 9pm...typical for Valencia to open late, but so many places open at 8pm, but not these guys. The other day we went there and there were tables empty, but we were told "Sorry, no space for you right now". Another day we arrived a few minutes before opening and the staff was eating their lunch. The owner of the restaurant jumped to greet us but made us very aware that they were not open for another 30 minutes. I know that schedule is schedule, but they are very tight on just about everything. In regards to the food, what we have tested has been quite good. The prices are a bit higher than average, but they are close to a very touristy area and possibly raise the prices as a result. The service is somewhat average, not bad, but nothing special. I will give it another chance for sure, but I was unhappy with the attention and lack of personal treatment.

Great pizza and pasta tucked away on the back streets. Make sure you reserve. Gets booked up fast.
