Asia Chinese Restaurant

Truth be told, kung pao tofu is never on my shot list of Chinese-American favorites. I tend to think of it as overly sweet, and the mix of cooked celery and peanuts is a discordant mess that doesn't quite meld. Well, now I can see the appeal, thanks to this hole in the wall.

Yes, "Asia Chinese Restaurant" the most generic and forgettable name ever, but their lunch deals make up for that with flavors you'll want to remember. The tofu is fried nicely, with a great meaty texture, and tossed in a garlicky sort of brown sauce with a genuine hint of spice. There's even a whole chili pepper in there, in case you were doubtful! What I really love about this rendition is that they use an abundance of water chestnuts too, which really connects the dots with more crunchy, crispy bites than the usual blend.

If you, too, have doubts, just give it a try. For roughly $9 that includes rice, a veggie spring roll, and (non vegan) soup, you can't lose.

Side note and bonus points, the fried rice has no egg, so you're good to go, my plant-based friends!

My first time here & I ordered fried dumplings! They were DELICIOUS! Crispy and hot. And they give you a good amount for the price. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.

We went around 3:30pm. Nobody was there, just us and the staff. The staff were polite and quick with refills, the food took awhile to come out but it was really good. I would dine here again. Very affordable.

Gave this spot a try and we were pleasantly surprised. everything was yummy, fresh, and nicely flavored. Moo sho pork was our fav. We will definitely we coming back.

Ordered Grubhub, garlic shrimp with crab Rangoon and hot and sour soup. The rangoons were crisp and flavorful, the soup thick and tasty with tender pieces of tofu.

Sadly, the entree was too small for a dinner portion. The takeout box was half rice, rather than full with rice in a separate small box. The food was good, but I usually get several servings and will barely get 2. Good sides, but small entree knocks the rating down. I'd be curious to compare lunch and dinner, but probably won't order again. However, even with Grubhub upcharge, the entree was affordable at $12, so I guess you get what you pay for. Lots of better options.

Placed an order for takeout here on a whim, delicious and fast! Large servings of food & definitely worth the money for portion sizes. Pickup was super organized, it was clean, and the hosts were very nice! Gonna have to definitely dine in sometime, highly recommend!

Food was delicious and they were able to make a General Tso not spicy for me!

We were the only two customers in the restaurant at the time, but it was in the middle of the afternoon. Very few staff working but very friendly.

This is my go-to place for take out. I think I order from them at least once a week. Their menu options are extensive. So, depending on what you are into, there is almost certainly something for you. The meal is always prepared quickly and it is delivered to us within an hour. I haven't had a chance to dine in, so I can't speak to the vibes. Regardless, this is a staple for me. A favorite of mine is their spicy seafood soup is delicious.

The place is dingy and smells. The service was good and the food was above average. Lots of parking so no issues there.
