Tolles Kino, zentral gelegen, perfekte Atmosphäre! Es ist etwas teurer als das cinedom. Aber in meinen Augen jeden Cent wert! Ausreichend Beinfreiheit. Der Hintermann tritt dir nicht in den Rücken. Die Säle sind sauber, du setzt dich nicht in nen halben Popcorn Eimer! Service am Platz, und kein Mainstream Kinoprogramm! Ich liebe auch das Clubkino. Richtige Wohnzimmeratmosphäre! Ich werde nur noch in dieses Kino gehen!!

The Astor cinema is my new favorite cinema in town. From the moment you walk in the door, right up to heading back out, you are treated as a welcomed guest.

After getting your tickets you are offered a free glass of Sekt or orange juice while waiting for your film to commerce. At this time you also have the possibility to check your coat in - free of charge.

The leather arm chairs, which you can lean back in, and a slat comes out for your feet, were wonderfully comfortable. There is so much space to the lounge in front that you can completely stretch out without coming close to reaching it.

After taking your seat a waiter comes around to take your order (a menu awaits you next to your arm chair). There is a full selection of light meals, drinks and snacks on the menu. We both ordered a beer and a Mediterranean plate (ham, salami, cheese and a warm bread roll). Very fresh and yummy.

The movie we watched was in 3D, so we received 3D glasses when entering the cinema. The glasses were high quality, battery operated glasses. Excellent!

All technical equipment is brand-new. The sound and picture quality was top-notch.

Such 'luxury' does come at a price. In comparison to other cinemas you'll need to pay an extra 3-4 € per person. Calculate in the free welcome drink & free cloakroom and the extra cost per person will decrease.

The only slightly down side is that there are 'only' 3 cinemas. So the total number of movies being shown at any one time is limited.

I am a fan of this cinema. If the movie I want to watch is not screening there, I would happily wait until it is. I couldn't see myself willing going back to the 'regular' cinemas in town.
