Located on Gorsty Hill, between Blackheath and Halesowen, the Bell & Bear is a fairly traditional pub, achieving mixed success throughout the years.
Originating in the 1600's, this pub retains some Victorian elements, giving the pub character that most pubs in the surrounding area don't have. Serving real ales alongside your usual lagers and cider, the Bell & Bear really does have something for everyone.
A fairy large establishment, the Inn also serves fairly standard pub food, as you would expect to find in the majority of typically English pubs.
From my experience, the pub has been relatively quiet throughout the week, with Sunday being one of the more popular days, which certainly says something about the Roast Dinner!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (kevin2…)Wolverhampton, Vereinigtes Königreich2577635113. Nov. 2009
This pub dates from 1601! 7 real ales available here including Madonnas favourite - Timothy Taylors Landlord.

The pub has a good selection of real ales though slightly pricey . The food is good not too expensive . The pub really comes into its own in summer it has a huge beer garden with widesweeping views over the black country .
