Bobbie's Dairy Dip

an absolute classic! a nashville staple! come and get a dipped cone with your friends like we did!

Get what they're known for! The soft serve is amazing! I got a small swirl in a cone. The cone tasted like cardboard, but really enjoyed the soft serve!

I also got a burger and it was average. The fries were fine.

I would stick to the ice cream here, which is what they're famous for!!

Bobbie's Dairy dip is SO fun. It's also SO tasty and cute. However their hours are inconsistent and they're rarely open when we find ourselves wanting ice cream and because of this there is often a long line that makes the lack of parking really shine!!

Fun feel of a walkup ice cream shop but sadly the ice cream wasn't the highlight I expected it to be.

Heads up they may have a long line nearly leading into the road, so prepare to wait.

OAN: Bobbie, you let me down. Strawberry shortcake is by far one of my favorite desserts. So when I seen it on the menu I just knew it was about to be A1 after the description I was given of how it's made.

"Small Vanilla cake" (what I was told it was) 0/5....the cake was a biscuit....A BISCUIT! I have never had a strawberry shortcake made with a biscuit. Had I known this before, I definitely would've settled for a specialty shake.

The biscuit was dry and very bland. The only moisture the biscuit was able to soak up came from my icecream. I was rather disappointed.

But I do encourage you all to try them. The ice cream is great. Just NOT my strawberry shortBISCUIT.

The location of this place is absolutely perfect - right after a damn hot level hot chicken meal from Hattie B's, just walk yourself straight over to Bobbie's Dairy Dip to cool off with a soft serve cone or milkshake.
I always treat myself with a small or kid size vanilla soft serve cone dipped in chocolate - the chocolate crackles so nicely, and even though the ice cream really doesn't taste like vanilla at all, it is so nostalgic and comforting.

The owner is super friendly, the service is quick and we've never had any issues with our orders. I will say the milkshake is super thick which I prefer, so double straw it if you find those difficult to drink.

The happiest old-fashioned soft serve ice cream spot in Nashville! Bobbie's Dairy Dip never fails to bring the smiles all summer with amazing soft serve, shakes, and burgers/ fries.

Make sure you get there a few minutes before close though because they cut off the line!

If you are into an old fashioned ice cream counter this place is for you! The ice cream and milkshakes and both tasty! They also have food options but I've never tried any. Parking is limited and there is usually a line in the summer. Also be aware of the hours because they are a bit limited.

An old school Nashville dessert tradition! They have soft serve ice cream and will dip it in chocolate and/or sprinkles for you and do the same for a banana. They also offer burgers, chicken, hot dogs, corn dogs, fries, chili, sundaes and milkshakes. There can be some pretty substantial lines that form here so you always have to be prepared for that. There is usually a great vibe here which gives a lot of contagious joy to simply be around this classic spot. Overall this is a great location that is one of the few remnants of old Nashville in this area of town.
