An Austrian chef ( he found the most tender Venison loin I've ever had )cooking in Bavaria ( Bavarian cream dessert was refreshing and clean ) using Italian ( fresh truffles are amazing in the chestnut soup....gnocchi with Venison were light and lovely as the starch for the venison and Brussel sprouts and mushrooms) all in the beautiful settings of a quiet, classic Munich neighborhood. A grand, century old building that was decorated comfortably and with seasonal warmth. Beautiful.
Staff, mostly Stefan ( sp ? ) was very attentive as his "bad English " was perfect and also welcoming to non German speaking guests on the second floor dining room. He was Fantastisch, fantastico, perfect.
Price fix ( 98 Euro and a bargain in my opinion for the quality and service) menu started with a wonderful salmon tartare dotted with caviar.
The texture and truffle balance of the chestnut soup had to be the reason for the Merlot wine pairing suggestion which was well thought out. Incredible compliment.
An American enjoyed the European dinner and will be back for sure in this not so touristy area.

We dine here about 4 times a year, it's thee place to be. Never a problem, delicious food and friendly professional service. Soup wise I love their chestnut soup and their blood sausage with lentils as a starter. The pheasant, game and wild is rather well served here especially their rack of lamb.

Superb high-end German cuisine in a refined setting. I tried my first blootwurst here and I'm glad I did. It was perfectly tender and sliced into thin pieces. The wienerschnitzel was served at the ideal temperature and the breading gave it this subtle crunchiness. One of the best examples of the dish I have ever had. Overall my group was satisfied and the best part was that we were not painfully full, a recurriny problem with my past experiences with German food.

I had never experienced German haute cuisine but this seems like a shining iteration of fine Bavarian cuisine. Highly recommended to any visitor looking for exceptional German cuisine.
