Bohemia

I love this hotel and so grateful it is connected to Marriott!
Wonderful rooms, clean, chique, centrally located, great bar and restaurant on the room, pool, jacuzzi, spa, friendly staff especially Gabriella today. I love it here!

We also stayed at Bohemia last year, and decided to give it a try again. This year we booked a Junior suite with ocean view. Unfortunately their booking engine is setup as default to one person, so we made a mistake only make a booking for one person. Upon check in the staff forced us to pay another €817 extra for the extra person. I accept we should have checked it better but i also feel that bohemia's booking engine is faulty. And €817 extra charge for only 7 night's it not fair. We spoke to the Front desk manager and they are all very polite but by the end of the day, they think a lot about money and wont admit their fail and give us a proper refund.

There are also other downsides of that hotel everyone should consider:

- The restaurant is very crowded during breakfast. If you like to eat around 9:00 am the restaurant is almost full. The problem is that you can only ordering eggs and coffee to the staff and, they are very busy during that period so you have to wait a lot for you orders to come. (The staff is friendly, but it's understaffed, i guess its the management thinking money again).

- Everything is very expensive. The poolbar, food, drinks etc is way overpriced.

- It's not at all close to the beach as they claim in many brochures.

- The room is very small, but the bed is comfy.

- There is no coffee maker in the std. rooms but in the junior suite there is a espresso maker. Just sad for those who enjoy normal coffee or thea.

- No Hairdryer, amenity kit or stuff like that.

- The rooms are very small, the std rooms are much smaller then standard room in other hotels. We booked a junior suite this time, and the size is the same as std room's in other hotels.

- They have a fancy in room entertainment system running on mac hardware. If you like to attach your own equipment through a HDMI cable just forget it.

- There is almost no extraction in the toilet. That means the entire room is smelly long time after someone visited the toilet.

- They claim to have a heated pool. If that pool is heated i don't wanna try the unheated pool. They also have a little pool beside the big pool a kind of a "hot tub". I think they should rename it "Ice tub" since it was so ice cold.

- The spa are's is great, but again it's so cold. We visited in the winter period, and i can only conclude that they don't heat up the spa area. It was also clear that no one really used it, so DON'T stay here only for the spa you will get disappointed. It's obvious that is the management need to save money again, so they could get a bigger revenue.


- No Nordic Tv-Channels, only the same german channels. I accept that DK is a small country but i think they have 40 german channels, they could give us from scandinavian just one channel.

- The Wifi is fast and stable, that was the one positive think we had to say about this hotel.

The only positive thing on this trip was the cleaning staff in our room. She was outstanding.

But by the end of the day, my best advice is to stay away from this hotel unless you want to pay a big overpriced and get fooled by the staff.
