There are several very good book shops in this neighbourhood but this is my absolute favourite. Packed with gems you never knew you wanted and oftentimes could never have afforded at a mainstream outlet. I don't think I have ever dropped in without buying something.

A great selection of unusual books, it's always a pleasure to browse what's new.

Used bookstore in the Chiswick area that actually had a respectable well organized collection. There was a specific title that I was after and even though they didn't have it I was still inspired to rediscover some lost titles. Fair prices and good customer experience.

This place looks like one of those places that sells cheap books that nobody has ever heard of before, or really wants to read. But therein lies the secret, as many tomes of high quality pass through its doors on almost a daily basis, being quickly snapped up by those in the know. Apparently it is also psychic, more than once pandering to my eclectic whims when Waterstones has failed. When I was buying Iain Banks books, lots of Iain Banks books appeared on the shelves, they weren't there before and they haven't been there since. Ditto Salman Rushdie. Ditto Chuck Palahniuk. And you'll always find something interesting that you never knew existed.

A really great little book shop - better than going to the chains. Much more of a personal experience and the staff were lovely. Really useful for reference books. Spent a lot in here and very happy with my purchases. Definately plan on returning in the very near future.

Note: When wanting to attract people to your shop, place tables outside with a taster of what you sell.
The shop is not massive which is good, as I insist with small shops, you can really take your time to have a look at what is inside. Small sections of everything with quality books. Fashion, Design, Interiors, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Travel, History, Geography, Classic Literature, Photography and one off calendars (and more!).
It was a walk down memory lane, they have all the MR.MEN and LITTLE MISS books! at £1 each, and this is the other great thing about this bookstore, the prices.
For those of you who know TASCHEN publications you must also know that they tend to be a bit pricey, here you can find a full range of ART NOW editions at 2 for £10 and 100 all-time favourite movies (2 volumes) for £30. Unexpected books are a must in this shop for instance, The book of Butts, or a book that gives you a project to do everyday.
As you go deeper into the shop it can get more disorganized, but I guess this why the children's section is at the back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (glitte…)London, Vereinigtes Königreich24302. Nov. 2007
Well I took a trip down to Bookcase today after reading the reviews on here and I'll definitely keep returning! I love bookshops anyway but much prefer these little gems rather than the big chain stores. I couldn't believe how cheap it was considering the unique books you can find in there- I left with some great reference books.
Should probably limit my visits to once a month though, otherwise I could easily go bankrupt.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Samantha M.Wiltshire, Vereinigtes Königreich07982. Nov. 2007Erster Beitrag
Unique book shop with a varied and intreasting stock, nothing like the main book stores you normally come across.
You can always find a quirky book or a two in here, plus great travel guides and one off calenders.
The prices are very low too and they have tables outside selling weird and wonderful books too...
Not a massive shop but great for a browse.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
