Tourists beware!
The burgers were good and the staff seemed nice. However, we ordered tap water and were charged 6 euros for mineral water. When we asked what the charge was, they told us it was for tap water (we translated later to figure out we were ripped off.
Along with the "mineral" water we ordered, the waiter also gave us less change than it said on the receipt. We had to go back to the cash register to ask for the rest of the change that they "forgot" to give us.
Too bad, since we enjoyed the food. A dishonest restaurant is not worth eating at.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cheylene T.London, Vereinigtes Königreich50724423. Dez. 2014
I had the fortune of staying at a hotel very near to Burger House. We were a party of 3 and popped in for a late dinner last night.
The restaurant was PACKED, but luckily for us a table opened up pretty quickly. The service here is fast and friendly, and the menu is simple. I opted for a small cheeseburger while my mates went with a big west burger and a philly cheese steak. We shared a side of chili cheese sweet potato fries.
It shoukd be noted that these aren't jumbo American-style gourmet burgers. My cheeseburger was tiny and the other burger was about the size of a tennis ball. That being said, the burgers were good. The meat is cooked medium rare and is perfectly juicy. The bread and cheese were great quality (it is Germany, after all). The fries were good, but not quite authentic 'chili cheese.'
The only real disappointment was the philly cheese steak. The steak was dry and there was too much salad thrown in. However, as I pointed out to my boyfriend, you should probably order a burger at a place called Burger House.
Burger House gets a definite recommend from me. Be mindful of how busy it can get and you'll be alright :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Philip S.Manchester, Vereinigtes Königreich8415416549. Apr. 2015
This is possibly the best burger place in the world!
Coming back to Munich, the first thing I planned to do was to go straight to Burger House at Rosenheimer Platz. The restaurant is a small burger place on Rablstrasse. It offers an intimate setting and a friendly atmosphere with cool photos from modern pop culture scattered around the walls. Tables are closely grouped together on the restaurant floor, and a bench covers the wall at the far end and high stools surround the breakfast bar overseeing the cooking/preparation area. This is fantastic for monitoring the progression of your perfect burger.
Now enough about the ambiance, let's talk about the food! Perfect! And I'm not being melodramatic there. Burger House makes the perfect burgers with fresh local (Bavarian) beef! On this occasion, I opted for the Mittagsmenu, which is the Classic House Burger, with fries (lots of fries!) and a small drink (a bottle of Fritz-Kola). The Mittagsmenu comes at a bargain price of 8,99€. But I didn't stop there... for an extra 3€ I was able to change that Classic House Burger into a DOUBLE burger! Oh my goodness! It was unbelievable! Because the burger is so fresh, it literally falls apart in your mouth like butter, and the taste is so delicious. The meat is accompanied by lettuce, tomato, sauce and a soft bun. You get plenty of fries, so if you love fries, then you will love these! Overall, a perfect combo for THE perfect burger!

Like any relationship, my baby and I, we got our problems, but we get through 'em, 'cuz that's what love is.
I mean like, why she gotta be all "€4,10 for a water" an' shit? I'm like, cut me some slack, gurrrrl, YOU the one makin' me all thirsty!
And when she say "Mittags Menu" only includes the Classic House, what she mean is you can treat yourself to her other savoury flavas, but they will not be part of a delicious combo, no sir, you can order your fries and drink separately. Bringin' my foolish ass back to the €4,10 for a water...
But honeychild, these burgers are God's own goodness between two buns, so I ain't even angry. Just forgive and ingest, what I always say. An' next time, Ima get me some'n other than water, 'cuz experience done taught me good.
Lesson: Order whatever you want, whenever you want, but regular water is €4,10 per glass (,5L), and only the Classic House (or Double or Triple) are eligible for the lunch combo.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 016. Aug. 2012Vorheriger BeitragI've been keeping Burger House tucked away like a secret sex scandal with the babysitter. Alas, one slip-up with a check-in, and my whereabouts became known, and so I must confess - I've been seeing Burger House. A lot. She completes me. Each time, she leaves me lusting for more, even though I know my body has already taken all it can handle. Oh, you naughty burger nympho, let me think back to our first time together...
There she was, dressed suggestively in tomatoes, lettuce, and onion, flaunting her cheese negligee, pouting at me to come join her on that bed of fries...
Her buns...oh goodness, I could caress, nibble, and bite those babies for days. Toasted crisp on the inside, yet moist, firm, and forgiving on the outside. They just fit to my hands. Those wheaten halves were a golden gift from God, a wholesome masquerade concealing the devil within that I was yet to experience...
Her patty was a succulent, seared specimen of local beef that shook me down into a hot mess of burger gourmand. I tried at the last moment to pull away, to insist that it was wrong, but it was too late - I had found a burger I liked in Munich. We were a team, and I was not going to stop until I had eaten her, and eaten her good. Lord help me, I couldn't hold back. I knew we'd be seeing more of each other. The way her empty plate invited me for seconds, I knew she felt the same.
The house sauce is, ah, simply the wrong perfume for this lady. I like it best when she puts on something spicy, like the jalapenos of the Vato Loco, or something a little piquant, like the Gorgonzola, but she only dresses up in the evenings. Nonetheless, I enjoy her company even in her modest office hours attire.
So there you have it, Yelpers. I know I've been a very bad boy...but I've liked it. - Moritz H.München, Bayern272853437. Jan. 2014
Great place. Tiny but we got seats at the counter. Best view of the grill!!!
The staff was really nice and the menu is simple (very nice compared to other places with extensive menus).
We ordered the house burger and onion rings. The meat was perfect (medium) and the toppings were standard (tomato/salad/cheese).
The prices are good. The best thing is that the they have an open grill so you can actually see how they prepare your food.
Love it!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 28. Aug. 2012
A friend recommended the Burger House to me after I raved about Cosmogrill. I'm sorry, but Cosmogrill is better. This place was a little cheaper if memory serves, but it's also way further from the city center. And it seemed a hell of a lot busier.

The number one burger place in Munich; without any questions.
By far the best burgers and chilli cheese fries.
The best bavarian beer (Tegernseeer) and a great choice of gin and tonics.
Yes, the burger house no 1 is smelly and loud but it's the birthplace of an awesome burger (only for true burger pilgrims). If you like it romantic - there are 3 other burger house joints with quite rooms; and they serve the same tasty burger.
For all tourists who read this. Forget what I wrote you won't like it ;-)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kyle K.Berlin8157921. Apr. 2016
If you will read my reviews, I will heap praise on restaurants that deserve, and I feel that I am more than fair to restaurants that also don't deserve it. That being said, let's start this review.
I saw a list of the best burgers in cities around Europe, and living in Berlin and being an American who like burgers, this was exciting for me. We had a trip planned for Munich in a couple of months, and Burger House was listed (and glowingly praised) for the city, so I screen captured it and saved it on my phone. We get to Munich, and I was extremely happy to see it as we passed by from our hotel the first night, so we made plans to go there, and we just did an hour ago. I couldn't get a reservation tonight, which had me even more excited to try to it out! We got there and had to sit at the bar because it was packed (small place, but still) so I am ready to go.
We sit down and we are informed they have no fries. Disappointing, but okay. Weird for a burger place to have no fries, but whatever we see onion rings on the menu. I order the Old West burger which I see on their chalkboard menu (or something West burger), but they have no onion rings. Fine, we get regular burgers with bacon.
The burgers came quickly and we watched him cook them, they looked good and I liked the preparation. The burgers were cooked closer to well done than medium, but with smaller burgers it doesn't really matter so it's okay. We ate the burgers, no flavor. It just didn't taste like anything to me. The bacon, the hamburger, the bun, the sauce, it just didn't have any flavor to me. It was juicy at least, but no flavor. I was so disappointed. I was really excited to go, they have no sides except salad, they can't make the burger I want, and then no flavor.
So we quickly ask for the check, and it comes and lo and behold, the bacon costs more than it says on the chalkboard menu we ordered it off of. "We have a new menu" we were flippantly told. Oh, so you can't be bothered to update the big menu that is the first thing you see, even though you can type up, print, and laminate new hard copy menus? Cool. Thanks for taking a whole Euro extra from us.
In the end we paid €31 for two small, flavorless burgers, one beer, and one gin and tonic. I still tipped €5, because I firmly believe in the 20% rule, regardless of where you are, unless the service sucks, which it didn't. But this might have been the worst/most disappointing food experience we have had in the three years we've lived here plus my trips before. I was so mad. I actively look for ways to show my wife Munich is better than Berlin (because I want to move here), but there are half a dozen burger places we have been that destroy Burger House.
We wandered around Rosenheimer Platz for a while and ended up at McDonald's. Even though you may hate life/yourself if you find yourself at McDonald's on a Thursday night while on holiday in a beautiful city like this, at least you won't be disappointed when you drop €3 on fries and an apple pie.

I thought I would never give an One Star Review. But after the last time, this place really deserves it. The bad rating is not due to the quality of the food, which is good. But due to the lack careless handling of its customers and their orders.
This was the second time I was at Burger House. Last time I recommended to many friends. Unfortunately, I cannot do this anymore.
Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait to the very exact reservation minute to be seated. Even the Germans in the group found it to be too extreme. Ok... the room is really small, but they could do a better job handling the reservations and available tables.
Ordering the burgers was a bit confusing since there was a bit of pressure from the waitress to make our orders quickly. They also come with no french fries. You must order them apart.
When some burgers arrived the waitress could not tell one from the other apart. So we had to guess which burger belongs to who. In the end we figured it out.
I ordered a "Dreier" (three small burgers of your choice). They tasted really good, but the temperature was terrible: they were almost cold. Probably they used cold burger buns.
So far, despite of these shortcomings, I was reasonably satisfied. But then comes "the icing on the terrible service cake": it was 22:00 and they had to close, but instead of asking us anything politely, the staff started cleaning up the place with a strong unpleasant smelly cleaner product which gave me nausea and burned my nostrils. At this point, I just had to leave the place. And the whole eating experience was ruined.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Camie T.Petaluma, Vereinigte Staaten423274726. Sept. 2012
Burger House lives up to its TripAdvisor reputation - it was excellent. I think it is safe to say that the burger I ate at Burger House is the best burger I have had in my life.
What else is there to say? Burger House serves burger and fries. It's a small restaurant with only about 12 tables. It's hot inside. The grill is open to the restaurant so you will smell like you've been in a hot kitchen grilling burgers all day. And you will love every bit of it.
Note 1: All burgers are served with a "house sauce" which kind of looked like thousand island dressing. This "house sauce" is not mentioned in the menu, so if you want it, you will need to inform your server.
Note 2: Whilst it is a burger joint, there is table service. You sit down, the server comes to your table, you order, and your server brings your bill to you.
Note 3: The bathrooms are through an unmarked door to the left of the bar.
Note 4: Order the burger/fry/drink combo. It is a great deal. The shoestring fries are DELICIOUS.
Note 5: The burgers are cooked rare-medium and I recommend them being cooked this way, however, if you don't like pink meat, inform your server as they will not ask you how you want your burger cooked.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
