Café Vienna

This place is amazing! It has great food and is very cheap! They have great hours as well. I love their Bacon Burger because the burger sauce reminds me of Cookout sauce for all my East coast people back in the States!

Café Vienna is one of the places you have to go in Mannheim! The service is amazing. They are really friendly and you don't have to wait for ages until you get what you order. Prices are also super cheap!! A lot of young people gather here so there is a really relaxed atmosphere. This is a place where you can spend your whole evening with your friends just chillin or be alone and enjoy your "me-time". Lovely place!

I enjoyed a great evening with a group of friends at the cafe Vienna. The place is alternative and the food looked good but we spend our time to try many of the great cocktails. Prices were good and our waitress was awesomely friendly and helpful.

Man muss eigentlich immer im Eingangsbereich auf einen Platz warten warten was super unangenehm ist so mitten im Raum zu stehen. Ansonsten ist es sehr sehr laut. Aber es sind meistens entspannte Leute (Gäste) da, Essen ist in Ordnung, vor allem das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Service ist meist sehr lieb, wenn auch oft überfordert und daher nicht allzu aufmerksam. Draußen vor dem Lokal/Bar/Schnellrestaurant/Café kann man interessante Rauchergespräche führen. Café Vienna geht immer (wenn man die Geduld hat 15-30 Minuten auf einen Tisch zu warten).

It is a nice place, even though from the outside it can seem weird.
Prices are very cheap. It is not the best quality but for this kind of price it is very decent, even good !
Waiters speak english.

I used to go to a Cafe Vienna back in the early eighties but I seem to remember it being on a second floor overlooking the river? Sometimes they had live music and burned candles on the tabletops. Had big windows that opened up and you could sit there on a summer evening with a beer and this amazing Hungarian goulash like stew they served with delicious bread and watch the world go by. Those were the days.

First to good: Great food, great prices. Cool, younger alternative crowd in the place. I ordered their Schnitzel, which is their claim to fame and it was really good and really cheap. I got the Jaeger Schnitzel which also came with a mushroom sauce which was great. I subbed fried potatoes because I heard they were really good and it was true.

The bad: the music was odd (heavy metal) and may not be to everyone's taste. The service was average for a European place, but once they got to know us, things were faster.

Overall, I highly recommend it for the great food and low prices. It was definitely worth a visit and I'll definitely go back when in Mannheim again.

vienna is a comfortable bar where lots of different types of people of varying ages can be seen eating or drinking and having a great time. the bar has lots of board games, so if you have nothing better to do, you can play those with your friends.


the drinks and meals are inexpensive and the portions are of decent size. the service, while sometimes a bit unattentive, are friendly on the whole. the bar is usually not too loud on account of the music, but the noise level does depend on the size of the crowd, since the barroom is not that large.


the one major complaint i have about this place is that the mens' toilets always reek. i mean, if they make enough money to support as many waiters/waitresses as they do, they should pay someone else to clean the bathrooms!


otherwise, vienna is a cafe and bar i would recommend to just about anyone.

Good place to get cheap but good food. Affordable and fresh! Nice place for students! The atmosphere is pretty alternative and they play louder rock music everything is pretty legere... Service was very good. A place to go with ur classmates and friends not the best place to go with ur mom or dad...
