Café Tiergarten

Food was so-so. Most of our pretzel was fed to the birds. Beer was alright. Location, though, can't be beat. Lodged in the center of Tiergarten park, it puts the "garten" in "Biergarten." It wasn't too crowded or loud, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. Definitely worth the visit, though you may want to bring your own food or skip the snacks altogether.

I like the place but more of a whole experience rather than just for their food/drinks. Four stars for the experience not just the food.

It looks beautiful, like out of a time capsule, but in a good way, and without the hipstery pretentiousness. It feels like a real thing from older days. Clientele is mostly elderly people which adds to the neighborhood cafe feeling.

Has a nice outdoor seating space with a lovely view into the greenery, and the seating inside is spacious with lots of light from the big windows.

Cakes are nice, what I think traditional German cakes are like (notice, not German, and haven't been living here long enough to judge). But the three of us who were there enjoyed the three cakes we ordered. I loved their Cointreau cake, totally seventies and very enjoyable.
