Castle House

I would leave 0 stars if I could. My wife went into the store with our children to browse. When my young son picked up one of the display item, the salesperson aggressively took the item out of his hands. Subsequently, other children picked up the same item, and my wife confronted this individual about the differential treatment, and of course the salesperson had no semblance of an intelligent or consistent response.

Beware of the employees of this store.

The selection is nice and I like the merchandise but the customer service is truly embarrassing. I came in with my kids and their grandmother and we were browsing, there were lots of things I wanted to purchase and my kids were looking around as well, purses, clothes, accessories. My daughter picked up a stuffed animal and within seconds the employee ran over, snatched it out of her hand and said "Are you buying this? Then don't touch it." And put it up out of my daughters' reach. Which seems kind of insane considering it's a literally children's store... my kids weren't without supervision, they weren't eating or dirty, just kids who came with adults after school and it was sooo off putting. I ended up paying for what I had found which was over $600+. I still am ashamed I didn't set everything down and walk out of there because it's really awful to treat a kid like that especially when I was right there, they could've asked me to make sure my kids don't touch anything if that's their policy. They could also put things they don't want touched out of reach or behind glass, but considering this was a stuffed toy I don't think that's reasonable either. Regardless, won't be returning although I like the items they carry.

We bought a velvet skirt for my daughter and the zipper broke. They paid for the repair and got it done before Christmas. I was so impressed and thankful for their service I will shop there more often now

Castle House is a cute kid's clothing boutique located in Hyde Park. They carry different types of kid's clothing brands along with kid accessories (I.e. shoes, bows, ties, etc.). Like most kid's clothing boutiques, most of what they carry is expensive. I usually only come when I need something for a specific occasion. Also, a lot of their clothes are more of a dressy feel. They have a few outfits for casual wear but most are fancy. I come here when I need bows, dressy sweaters, dressy shoes, sandals, or other certain specifics. If I need a dress for a specific occasion I'll come here. I usually don't shop here just for everyday wear. However, their clothes are cute.

The service is always very welcoming and accommodating. Super sweet people.

Still love Castle House but I am so disappointed that they no longer carry sneakers! This is where we always bought my daughter shoes and now I'm not sure where we will go...

Castle House is a great, quality shop for children's shoes and clothing so I was disappointed that they had stopped carrying kid's athletic shoes. Even if they are only a break-even item (the reason your excellent sales person gave for discontinuing them) they are an item every child needs and therefore get people to visit the shop where chances are they may see other adorable things for sale. I have purchased hair ribbons and fabulous kids' jewelry while shopping for other more practical items. In fact I rarely leave with just the item I came in for. I hope Castle House will reconsider this decision.

A cute store in Hyde Park Square with adorable clothing for babies, little girls, and boys. I got excellent service when I came here. I don't have previous store credit, so I cannot comment on earlier reviews. I found the staff helpful, and would go back. Of course, the clothes is a little pricey, but that is to be expected.

Castle House is not what it was....new management, with new business practices caring not about fostering longtime repeat customers. Would not honor previous store credits. So, shop the new Castle House and feel unappreciated.

Castle House is the best clothing store for children in Cincinnati! The newly remodeled store has it all. The store is great and they have perfect play clothes, pajamas and shoes. They manage to have it all in a nice store front in Hyde Park square. I can run in and get a Patagonia coat for my son or a special Lili Gaufrette dress and little shoes for the baby. The owner and staff are so helpful if I call ahead they set aside outfits for the kids to try on at home. This specialty service is and attention is not found anywhere! Besides everyday items, we have purchased First Communion and flower girl dresses to Confirmation suits. Although we live close, I would drive a considerable distance to get to Castle House. The carry specialty items unable to be found in other stores. Cincinnati is truly lucky to have a clothing store like Castle House!!
