City Hotel Stuttgart

I know many hotels in Europe are outdated and alot of them don't have a/c. I booked this hotel based on the reviews I read from tripadvisor, totally not what I expected. This hotel did have private parking lot, which was one of my requirements for a hotel since my husband and I were driving through Germany. The hotel was really small, the room was small. Bathroom smelled. The shower door doesn't shut properly so the water leaks onto the floor. That's why it smelled, every time someone showers, the floor ends up getting wet and the guests would use the towels to soak that up. Thus making the room smell like wet towel. No a/c but there was an old fan in case it gets hot in the summer. The beds are old and hard. In europe expect to find your queen bed to be made up with 2 twin beds put next to each other. I guess the hotels are so old with small doorways and hallways, they can't fit full/queen size beds in the room. Old and Small, look elsewhere if possible. Affordable hotel but definitely decrease in quality.
