I'be been trying out different Club Med Gyms since I moved to Paris 5 years ago, and I wouldn't trade the practicality of their locations for any other cheaper gym membership. Overall, I find the staff to be as friendly as Paris permits, with occasional good (or bad) surprises. The equipment isn't top of the line (for those you must go to the Waouh clubs), but they do the job. I highly recommend taking the classes, specially Body Pump and Body Combat. They can get pretty crowded though, so make sure to arrive in advance.

I only go to this gym because it is convenient to where I stay in Paris. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and the classes are fun and challenging. The equipment is okay, but if you want to work out with free-weights you're out of luck because they only offer light dumbbells. It is really the classes that make going here worthwhile. My big complaint is they ration out towels and you have to always return to the front desk to ask for a fresh one. Also, you should know that you have to bring your own toiletries, they don't offer shampoo or body wash in the showers. I think I'm just used to a better level of service at my gym in New York, and if you know of a better option in the République area then you should skip this place.
