Coco is a hidden gem just by Paradeplatz, Zurich's banking district. They serve three different meals every day (they don't have a card). Especially the menus from the grill are highly recommended. The first time I was there I had lamb - just awesome! Last time I was served a whole monk fish (young one) which was incredibly amazing! Given the quality of the food and the location the prices are fairly reasonable for Zurich relations. The wine selection they have is quite unique as well. Absolutely recommended for client lunch or leisure alike. I love all the Péclard Restaurants but this is the favorite of the ones I've been to!

On a side street off the Paradeplatz - on a warm day you can dine outside on a cold night you can enjoy the artful inside. They have an open kitchen.
The place is great for two (fashionaby romantic) or eight (it can hold a group of friends and co-workers).
Fantastic 5-course dinner - you choose between meat or fish for main course with excellent wine pairings. The 5 courses change every day - the variety and mystery is second to the quality of the food, prep and presentation.
Not for the backpacker or budget shy but one of the best meals I have had in a while. Low key, stylish and true.
Enjoy Coco!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lionel P.Erlenbach, Schweiz0330. März 2016
Brilliant place! Casual and cozy atmosphere. High quality products! Right next to Paradeplatz, you probably walked passed by it without even noticing that a restaurant was there... Big mistake! You get to choose the piece of meat or fish you want to have since the daily arrivals are on display. They cook BBQ in the fireplace... Really nice! Ask to choose your wine directly in the cellar (you can even have dinner there if you like...). Definitely a must go. Obviously it comes with a price which is the price of quality.

Went there on a public holiday... and the Coco was almost empty. Don't be fooled, that is the exception of the exception and I guess we just got really lucky that day. They are usually closed on holidays. I could imaging it getting loud when it is fully packed. The decor, like a ship's cabinet and ambiance is great, the waiters were attentive, friendly and competent and to my liking were not hovering. He guided us to the wine cellar where you have a choice of, if I really correctly, mainly European Wines. We were advised very well and the white and reds that were picked and suggested matched to later 5 course-surprise-menue perfectly.
For the main course, you have a choice of various meats and fish and we decided, as a group of 4 to share, which was a great idea suggested by the waiter. Unfortunately they did not have the fish I wanted on that day, but the appetiser, serving Suzuki, well compensated for that. Have had dry aged calf cutlets, beef rib-eye and entrecote and all pieces were cooked perfectly to our taste.
It was a wonderful evening, a small treasure in the middle of Zurich. I'll be back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Matt B.Thalwil, Schweiz12573. Apr. 2012
The restaurant is located right next to the famous Paradeplatz. Yet you have to pay attention not to miss it. You enter the restaurant either by passing the porch or through the door in the back. The dining room is rather small but cozy. You have a straight sight into the kitchen where the chef and his two assistants prepare delicious meals.
As the very friendly waiter explained there is only one 5-course dinner. However you can choose between meat or fish for main course. They serve delicious wine by the glass or you follow the waiter into the wine cellar in order to pick your own bottle.
The 5 courses change every day. That means the chef prepares a firework of very fresh food with intense taste. The third course is a salad, served in an unique way. And the main course includes always meat or fish from the grill.
I liked the trendy crowd, the excellent service. Did I mention that the food was outstanding? The location and the fresh food does have its price. The price of the set meal is between CHF 100 and 120. With drinks you easily end up with CHF 160 per person. You think this is expensive? Believe me it is worth every cent.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Bastian L.Feusisberg, Schweiz124821. Okt. 2012

Go and enjoy the Coco Grill on a warm summer evening, when you can sit on the outside terrace! It is exquisitely charming and the food is excellent, as is the service! Smokers will be delighted to know that the Coco still has a smoker's eating lounge! Do reserve way ahead of time though, this little jewel is always booked! Oh and also: finding the Coco is a little like finding platform 9 and 3/4 don't give up; it's off of Paradplatz walking on Bleicherweg look to the little sidestreets on your left, you'll find it eventually, no wizardry to it- promise! ;-)
