Correct Shoe Fitters

After several frustrating attempts at finding the right size shoes, I decided that I wanted to get my foot professionally measured. I knew that it was something I could probably figure out how to do on my own, but I wanted to talk to someone who knew what they were doing. After searching online, I stumbled upon the website for Correct Shoe Fitters on which I found the following words right on the first page!

"Our trained staff is not on commission, so there is never any pressure to buy. We invite you to come in our store to discuss foot concerns, a prescription, to try on various shoes or simply to have your foot measured."

The second I read that paragraph, I knew this was the place for me. My friend and I went the next day. I was a little nervous at first, unsure how to approach them about measuring my feet, while not really looking to purchase something, but I decided to just go for it. The second I asked, the woman happily obliged. After the measuring was over, I found out that I had been wearing shoes sometimes 2 sizes too small! I also thought that I was flat footed for the longest time, and found out that I actually have a regular arch! No wonder I was having so many problems finding the right size!

After that, my friend and I decided to take a look around, since the woman did just do a service for free. My friend ended up liking a pair of shoes on sale, but couldn't decide on the bigger or smaller fit. Asking the same woman for advice, she told her to go for the slightly bigger one, and that she had a solution to help them fit better. The saleswoman quickly inserted a pair of heel grips. That made them fit perfectly, and my friend ended up buying a pair of normally extremely expensive shoes for only $20! And the saleswoman didn't even charge for the heel grips!

All-in-all, going into Correct Shoe Fitters was a great experience. The saleswoman really knew what she was talking about, and was really helpful. As the woman explained to us when we first came in, "We're like an old fashioned shoe store." They actually care about how your shoes fit, and not just the possibility of a sale. I know that they also do shoe repairs, and have customized shoes for famous people like professional football players, and even Britney Spears! I went there this morning. I waited for someone to help me. No one did, so I left.

I never wrote a review before but this shoe store is the best! I needed several flat shoes for my new job and I was dreading the shoe shopping experience since it's so hard to find shoes that fit my feet well. They are pretty wide and arched. I stumbled across this store with my mom and finally found cute flat shoes that were super comfortable and fit my feet really well. The staff there is excellent. I couldn't be happier with my experience. It is truly a gem in Rutherford!
