Whenever I read the name of this pub, all I can think of is when people are wrongly imprisoned and the media will coin a nickname for them like the "Disraeli One", which they will then throw into campaigns like "Free the Disraeli One". Now I don't really know the relevance of Mr. Disraeli to this pub, but I'm pretty sure the name is not related to some kind of political statement about a wrongly imprisoned individual.
What Disraeli's One is though is a very pleasant, reasonably-sized pub in Ormskirk village. Pubs are not in short supply in the immediate Ormskirk village area so it can be hard for them to stand out from one another, but Disraeli's One manages to hold its own with the best of them.
With a good selection of drinks available, as well as weekly drinks offers such as a bottle of wine for just £5.99, Disraeli's is a lovely place to go for a drink or two that eventually turns into a few more.
The pub itself is rather comfortable inside and the atmosphere is relaxed, whilst the friendly bar staff are quick to serve and always smiling. The bar menu is small but quite varied, including dishes such as Philly steak, nachos and tortellini that are not expensively priced and are delicious.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rachel R.Cincinnati, Vereinigte Staaten51359413584. This has got to be one of my favorite pubs in Ormskirk!
The inside is fun and clean, and has a few little niches that your group can take over and kinda have a little place to yourselves. They have a ton of drink specials every day as well. The staff is incredibly friendly, as well as the regular patrons.
This place is great for a group of people or just a few. They can accommodate almost everyone. They don't have a huge menu but there is some normal good pub food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Emma R.Penrhyn Bay, Vereinigtes Königreich01317. März 2014
I've tried the chilli cheese burger and the chicken and bacon club sandwich here.
Both were great. I had to wait a while but it was lunch time on Friday and they were really busy.
Great for a Friday treat and a pint. Plenty of seating areas although the place does fill up at peak times.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (elizab…)Skelmersdale, Vereinigtes Königreich11121. Dez. 2011
I took my husband for Christmas lunch at our favourite pub in Ormskirk. We prebooked for the vegetarian two course option which was on offer, my husband chose the Tomato and Basil Soup for starters and I chose Breaded Mushrooms and for our main meal we both had Roasted Root Vegetable Cobbler the gravy and vegetables and cobbler and roast potatoes were to die for absolutely delicious and not a crumb was left on our plates. Christmas crackers were placed with our meal and I put my party hat on to get into the spirit of Christmas. The only thing I could find fault with was the coffe which was rather on the harsh side for my tastebuds but my husband's cappuchino was excellent Anthony the barman actually drew a snowman in my husband's cappuchino which was delightful and put us in the Christmas spirit. We had prebooked for 4pm but thought as we had got there an hour earlier and were quite hungry we asked Terry the manager if our meal could be brought forward and hey presto he asked chef to bring our meals right away with no trouble at all. All the staff and management are to be commended for such a warm welcome and making sure us vegetarians had a superb Christmas meal which warmed the cockles of our hearts. We will definitly be going back there again. I can also recommend their vegetarian shepherd's pie which is scrumptious.
