Driftwood Cafe

The Driftwood Cafe is exactly what you might expect to see in Polson, MT. Most everyone moves away when they turn 18 to head for the shinning lights of the big city. Then they return when they are pregnant, lonely, and/or married. So the age gap is very distinctive in Polson. You also get the tourists and the vacationers, which is my category. But we are all drifters. That is what I love about the driftwood.

The food isn't all that exciting but its made with that special home town tenderness that grows on you year after year.

I've met the owners and they are great people. This is a true home town cafe. Sit back, relax and read the paper while drinking a bottomless cup of joe after a good weekend on the lake.

If I ever get robbed, I hope it's at the Driftwood. There are about 9 cop cars there at any given moment so at least I feel safe there.

A lot of menu options, I'll give them that, but the service was garbage. I love going into a diner and being made to feel as if I am inconveniencing the staff...just what I want.

My friend and I went there for dinner tonight and they were out of everything!!!!! No..... Soup, salad, porkchops, steak, service,.... WTF!!!!! We sat there for a long time no service at all. Left hungry, and will not go back there again!!!! Oh ya bathroom was discusting gross, stunk, no toilet paper, garbage all over floor!!!!; W
hat!!! Will not go back there and would not recommend anyone go there !!!

Never again. Decent food (although only half a sausage), could no come close to making up for the horrendous service and lack of communication skills. Disappointing.
