We visited the park two days ago and we spent about three hours there, although we could easily have spent even more time. Our very favorite section was the boardwalk and the duck pond (the former traverses the latter). There's also a very nice cafe in the middle of the park; the interior is light-filled & a good size, and there are also lots of tables & benches for outdoor seating. We didn't eat there, but the food looked really good and they had lots of tempting-looking dessert items. Also, the people working behind the counter seemed very friendly.

The park is quite popular with people living nearby; there were huge numbers of dog walkers, people walking with their young children, and some bike riders. Of course, it was a Saturday - but still....another nice thing is that the park is beautifully-maintained.

Beautiful park! I had a great day there with my child and she really liked the boats and the children's park. It was a great way to spend a few hours in Dulwich!

It is nice. Which is all I can say.

Maybe I had high expectations when I looked out the window, saw flawless sun and decided to take the short bus ride here.

Yes Dulwich is nice. Cute. But when we get into the park and wandered round, there was a distinct feeling of 'is this it?'

Little bit of pond, lots of grass, little cafe selling ice creams and what not.

As has been mentioned before there is a boat hire facility, bikes for hire.

I wish there was more to say, but there isn't

A lush park with lots of lovely plantings. Comparing it with Brockwell, which I'd passed through shortly before, it looks like there's more money around. They have a variety of different garden areas including a dry garden (which I liked) and an American Garden. The latter I found a little disappointing. I was intrigued by the name, since I wasn't really aware of an American style of gardens. It turned out to be largely azaleas and rhododendrons Should have know! I'm sure it's very pretty at the right time of year. Another disappointment was the 'cascades and rivulets', which turned out to be a ditch with water in it, not flowing over the 'cascades'.

Hmmm the boardwalk I did like. Sort of a long bridgeway over the lake. Looks like it will be even better once the reed beds are well established.

What was mapped as a 'jogging track' was signposted as a dog exercising area. Great to have a natural earth path to run round, but dogs and runners don't always mix

Anyway, a lovely park, obviously with a lot going on, including new stuff coming in. There might have been a few things I wasn't overwhelmed with, but that's bound to happen when a place strives for variety, and at the end of winter. You can't please everybody all the time. Definitely worth a visit, and would be great for running. It's flat, but with lots of variety. I wouldn't mind it being closer to me

Not really sure how Malcolm, below, can only award this park 3 stars. I think it's the nicest park I've found in London, all things considered.

It's location; right in Dulwich. Next to the Village. It certainly beats the locale of other parks like Southwark and Ruskin.
Amenities; bike hire, boat hire, play parks for the kids, surprisingly nice toilets, cafes, ice cream vans, horse riding...
Feel; verrrrry relaxed. Families and young pretenders, all mixing well and enjoying themselves on a sunny day. It's not the party that you'll find on Clapham Common or London Fields, but it doesn't have half the 'look at me, I'm so cool' attitude either.

On the next sunny day, I insist you head to Dulwich Village and the Park. You'll feel like you're nowhere near London.

It is a beautiful park in Dulwich. It is situated near Dulwich Galleries.

There is enough parking space if you've got a car.

There is also a small cafe where they sell ice creams. There are also toilets there.

There is enough shade to avoid sunburns ;-) and enough space in the park to keep a reasonable distance between other people.

Very nice park in a very cute town.

Isn't it great how multi-purpose parks are? Come and play/exercise/walk your dog/skate/cycle/admire the pretty plants, they cry - and Dulwich Park has more to offer than your average green space with facilities catering for your every whim.

Tennis courts, football fields, bicycle hire and a lovely flat circuit of road for the sporty, a lake for nature lovers, carefully tended flowers and foliage for the aesthetically minded and a generally pleasant, fresh air feel for everyone in between. Dulwich Village and the surrounding areas are lucky to have a few good parks on their doorstep and this is definitely one of the nicest.

Always keen to go to Dulwich park, as it offers a great space for all sorts of park activities (tennis courts, jogging, open space, cafe, kids area etc etc) that you would expect.
I think the highlight is the new outdoor gym and the blooming of the rhododendrons in the American Garden (in the back), which is not to be missed. Great display.

An ideal park for runners owing to its circular shape and traffic free roadpaths, Dulwich Park is also a real winner for families, dog walkers and sunday strollers. It boasts a huge childrens play area with plenty of benches for the less energetic, a lake and the pavillion cafe where ice cream on a hot summers day is a local tradition.

Sports enthusiasts can hire bikes and other assorted wheeled contraptions, hire tennis courts and football pitches or hire a horse from the local stables.

The more artistic are catered for with plays throughout the summer months and a sculpture by Barbara Hepworth is displayed here. The parks history is also a feature with the historical American gardens hosting a beautiful range of flowers .
