Brunch sah ja schon toll aus, aber für 17,50 geh ich lieber woanders schön essen.


Patzige Antworten wenn man sich anders entscheidet und aufsteht zum gehen sind auch ein absolutes No-Go und sind für mich definitiv ein Grund hier NICHT wieder aufzutauchen.

When I reserved a table at Ecco for their Sunday brunch I was really looking forward to plenty of dairy free options as they stated on their website that they have a big vegan selection.
I'm not vegan myself but since I don't eat dairy products it seemed like the right spot for me.

We went there with a few friends and none of them were really satisfied by the selection.

It was stated on their website that they cater to vegetarians and vegans (as well as meat lovers), but when we arrived, we were disappointed by the selection.
The only things we actually liked were unfortunately never replenished.

We waited for over an hour in hopes of getting at least another plate of certain dishes that we liked but the plates remained empty.

I wish we would have been able to find more options considering the hefty price of 19€ per Person and that's excluding drinks.

I think your best bet is to reserve a table before 10 o'clock in the morning since I believe that's when they actually have the most options and foods will continuously be replenished.
The price is simply not justified even if you are not vegetarian or vegan and that's why I wouldn't recommend their Sunday brunch.
Other than that it seems like a nice restaurant with friendly waiters and good lunch options.

Good atmosphere, nice service and lot of variety in food. They have tried to replicate meat taste and look with vegan items, which I didn't feel comfortable with. But I wouldn't criticise the idea behind it. Must try place.
Pricey restaurant. Just have a look at the prices before you order.

We went for a brunch buffet and the food was just bad. I would at least give it more stars if the price was appropriate, but 18.50€ for bad food? That's just an insult.

Yum! I travel often and I'm a vegetarian. It makes it difficult on my traveling companions. We looked up a few vegetarian/vegan restaurants in the Cologne and found Ecco which had good yelp reviews. Though they are listed as Vegan which is not correct. They do have a lot of vegan/vegetarians options but they also have meat. I've been to a lot of vegan places where they still call the meat what it's imitating and in this instance they really mean that the sausage is sausage (not vegan/tofu sausage), so beware. The waitress was really nice and kept chatting with us. The y do not take cards so make sure you take cash with you.

Want to like this place, but I had to change my review due to the rude service. It's such a shame, because this place has potential. Brunch selection is very nice and atmosphere is also good. But both the host and the waitress were aggressive and unfriendly, snapping at us rudely when we asked a question. The place wasn't busy and we made a reservation in advance, so I have no idea why they were being hostile. The all-you-can-eat brunch is fresh and has a good selection for about 13€ and includes one juice, but a forewarning- the service seems to be hit or miss here.
