Good to have a choice in brand of tequila! Food is ok, could be better but the place is too big to rise above the fast food quality. The garden is pleasant, but closes early due to ridiculous city regulations. Inside is a bit crowded and noisy. Friendly staff

First, a disclaimer. I am a southern Californian doing business in Augsburg. As such, I've eaten a lifetime's worth good Mexican food back in SoCal and I know what Mexican food should taste like. I realize German Mexican food is something I am not accustomed to and I knew going in to expect the unexpected. What can I say, after a week of Bavarian and Italian food, I needed a Mexican food fix. I ordered with an open mind. Tacos con Pollo. Ok, the chicken was good. It was marinated in a flavorful sauce and served in taco shells, but with vegetables normally not associated with tacos (i.e., carrot slices). A side of Cole Slaw (?), a miniscule amount salsa on the side, with a layer of sour cream below it, and a salad. The salsa was obviously canned and, frankly, inexcusable. Also, the taco shells were the kind you buy pre-packaged. C'mon, man! Tortillas and salsas are the staples of Mexican food and can make or break the meal. Improve the tortillas, improve the salsa (make it, don't open it, and serve more than two teaspoon's worth), and the tacos would be delicious, even with carrots and cole slaw. On the plus side- the atmosphere is lively and fun. The drinks are great, especially at happy hour. The waitresses courteous and friendly. Would I come back? Yes. But I'll bring my own salsa and tortillas.
