Definitely a 0 star review. Awful & horrendous.

Where to start? The shabby interior? The freezing cold draft blowing on my while they washed my hair? The scalding hot water the girl washed my hair with? The way the owner of the salon (most expensive option there for hair) poked me in the eye with a sharp finger nail while blow drying my hair?

All awful but the main gripe here at this joke of a salon is the way I spent time carefully describing to the hairdresser how I was growing my hair for a specific purpose and wanted a blunt cut (no layers and straight across the bottom) with no layers anywhere at all. I was very clear about how I had spent months growing out layers I hated and didn't want them then to my dismay at then end there were tiny, short layers around my face and all across the back.

Goodbye months of growing my hair, hello nightmare I started with over a year ago. Avoid this awful and thoughtless salon with zero customer service, they are horrendous!

I liked the atmosphere in the salon - quiet and restful. Some might prefer a more lively feel, but it WAS a Monday morning. My hair was ok. But I agree with the reviewer who complained that her colour didn't look any different - I'd asked for it to be quite striking contrasts of colours and it simply wasn't. Now, a month later, it's pretty much all the same colour. My biggest concern was the cost however. Ok I'd seen the price list, but somehow I kind of thought that the cost of having it washed, dried and tidied ( and I really didn't have anything significant done to it style wise ) would come in with the colouring process. I have never paid £186 for a hair do before and hope not to have to do it again. Way out of my price bracket.

Ever gone to a hair salon thinking-'this is it, beyond these 2 hours, I shall emerge chic, different and just how I imagined' and with those words in your head you sit on that chair and let the work begin, thinking its anyway going all according to you; Or at least that's what I thought! I went in for full head highlights, and the senior stylist came in with a bunch of colours, and on my suggestion of a particular colour, I was put to rest and finally it was her chosen which seemed to paint my naturally dark hair. The staff was pretty indifferent and quiet, and oh, did I mention QUIET, the place was spookish-ly quiet that it started to feel more uncomfortable than relaxing! Finally when the colour was out, I was horrified, not because it was orange or bright lights on my head, but because I had just spend actual money over something, to look like I never got my hair coloured! I was about to burst when the staff would pop in occasionally to lift strands of my hair and put it the face of sunlight and faintly in that moment some amount of colour would respond! The person who blow-dried my hair mostly just made my hair worse! All in all, I stepped out to receive reactions like-' Hey when are you getting your hair done?' and I would just sigh to myself and think of the waste!
Maybe I was in for a bad day, or maybe this is how it is, I definitely did not enjoy the experience Ethos seemed to have promised!

Awful.just awful.i agree with the review above in the quietness, when my stylist did talk it was to tell me she didnt really like people and how anti social she is.it was VERY awkward. As for the hair cut, it looked better when i walked in.she hardly took anything off (even though id asked for a couple of inches) it had no particular style. she said at the end it was 'big' hair but what it actually was was dry and limp.she completely ignored how i usually style and did it in a way that i knew wouldnt work on my hair (i told her this before)Avoid like the plague.overpriced awkward salon no.
