farmer's market

This lovely market at the centre of town, offers a lot of local produce. Fresh fruits and vegetables, a fishmongers, olive oils, cheese, locally made crafts and beautiful flowers.

There were a couple of bicycle repair and spares shops and a few people seemed to be reselling stuff bought from Morocco and China.

The fruits and vegetables looked amazing. The fishmongers was semi covered, and I did not step inside. (too cold to voluntarily move closer to iced fish)

There were a couple of food trucks too. But based on other yelpers reviews of the individual trucks, I decided not to risk it.

The historic market has been in the cobbled centre of Cambridge for hundreds of years offering all kinds of goods including fresh fruit and veg, as well as flowers. there has been a fresh fish monger there for as long as I can remember along with other stalls selling books, clothes and a watch repairer. On Sundays for the last few years there has also been a local market selling locally grown produce along with hand made crafts and home baked cakes. Al in all a very wide range of goods for everyone. There aren't many city centres left that still have the market call of come on girls, two for a pound, get your bananas

The Sunday farmers market is wondeful with great fresh produce and a great mix of crafts avilable too. We usualy do a portion of our Christmas shopping here and find some very unusual and unique gifts.

the best for local food. Definatelly! and..some of it-organic! Good choice for those who care what they eat. The best place to get your 5 a day....selection of fresh veg, free range eggs, meat. Pleasant service, clean environment. Just go, pick, cook and enjoy!

It's true that the farmer's market is the best place to buy fruit and veg- however, during the week the market is fantastic for a whole range of other stalls! You can find flowers, books, cards, bikes...my particular favourite is the vintage clothes stall, where you can pick up genuine designer clothes at very reasonable prices. On Saturdays there are always stalls with unique gifts, such as prints of Cambridge, and antiques. A great place to wander around at any time.

One of my favourite places and one of my best veg supplyers. As I am very fussy what I eat, I always look for fresh, most of the time organic veg and fruit. And as they are the main products in my diet, therefore it is so important to get the right stuff. I prefer market to a home delivery as here I can choose my own veg as well as to have a nice chat with sellers.

Much better alternative to trailing around the supermarkets.
