Flips Patio Grill

Great spot to enjoy a drink, watch whatever sport is on and hang out with friends or family. The patio is large and has both heaters and fans. The food is consistently good. They have the best hamburgers in Grapevine!

Didn't know how this review was going to turn out after reading the previous reviews. Determined that I would review on this visit alone.

Attended a college alumni get together at Flips in Grapevine to watch a football game. It was great seeing fellow grads.

As has been reported in other reviews, upon entering Flips, I could smell the smoke. It was not overwhelming but definitely noticeable and disappointing. I would have thought that after negative reviews on this very point, ownership would have done something, or something more effective by now. The glass separator is definitely not sufficient. Maybe, ownership will invest in a more effective air handler for the smoking area.

We were in a private room about as far from the smoking area as possible and could still smell the smoke. We did close the doors to the room and basically forgot about it.

There was one TV screen in the room. The only problem was that we were told there was no way to route the sound from the TV to the speakers in the room without having also aired in the rest of restaurant. Frustrating, but we found an app that could stream the broadcast over several cell phones.

I had the beef fajita nachos. They were plentiful and although not very warm, they were sufficiently warm. They were typical of what is expected at a bar. I found them acceptable with plenty of melted cheese, beef, pico de gallo, and sour cream.

The star of the show was our server Nicki. She did an exceptional job in keeping orders straight and delivered. She was very friendly and diligent. Great work Niki!!

The smoke and the speakers were the major distractors. The beef fajita nachos did well. Again, the star of the entire day was our server, Niki. She is amazing.

This was a gem, with good food and service. The Pineapple express and Blood and Honey drinks were very good. The fried mushrooms, bacon wrapped jalapenos, pork chops, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans are all very good. Would luv the pork chop to be thicker but still very good. I got the fried pickles, but I found them lil salty and not my fav....but you get a good thinner ranch dressing that offers better coverage when dipping. Place was so friendly and inviting that a vendor for the Blood and Honey beer gave my whole table a free drink to try. My friend had the nachos and found there could have been more meat but did enjoy it.

Love this place. We have a fun group and we like to frequent Flips Grapevine. The waiters know us and know what we like. We are always greeted with a friendly welcome and smile. The food is so tasty. They have TV's everywhere so you can watch whatever games you follow. You can dine inside or out.

Sat ourselves during slow time. Server arrived promptly and took our drink order. We sat in the far corner due to the fact that this location smells of cigarette smoke if you sit near the bar or door. The bar is "glassed in" but the glass does not reach the ceiling, hence the smell. Service was good, drinks kept full, food came out timely as did the check. My french dip was good, meat not fatty, plenty of it-au jus was tasty too. Bread is fresh also. Got chips instead of fries and they were fresh, crisp and homemade.

I love coming to this bar. They still allow smokers inside so be warned. The drink special are always great, the crowd is always fun. The music is always good. The food isn't that bad either. A great place to hang out with friends and just enjoy yourself.

I was in there tonight to watch Superbowl it was a terrible experience with Tatemn. she paid more attention to her friends than the people who pay her. I can see some interaction with friends but please I had to go away from my table to find her for a drink and then later interrupted her to get my tab. I would have stayed longer but the service was terrible. she needs to be replaced because she didn't care that I bothered her!!!

If you just love inhaling second hand smoke this is the place for you!!! Absolutely disgusting as it seeps out the doors before you even open them. Food is good, no doubt. Some of the best bar food around. Staff is well rounded and quick to meet your needs. If anything worthwhile goes in next door good luck with parking.

Food was good. Our waiter provided great service. Unfortunately, the restaurant allows smoking. We left smelling of smoke on our clothes and immediately took showers.

We have been to this location a few times but it is hard because the smoking is overwhelming. Well tonight we wanted to go Grapevine because we frequent Fort Worth often.
HUGE MISTAKE.
Our server was very rude in the beginning. Everyone has bad days so I didn't think too much of it.
Well, we love going to Flips on Thursdays because Texas beers and liquor is $4! Can't beat it. So every week we go to Flips and get our $4 tall beers.
We received our check and 5 beers was $42.50. It should have only been $20. So we asked the server and she "asked" her manager and they said Flips is different pricing in very location.
Okay well we have been to this location twice and receive the $4 beers but this manager just happened to change it.
Well we were going to pay and just regret our decision of Grapevine until I was walking out (my husband stayed behind to pay) and our server was laughing and making fun of us to 4 other servers and a manger. I stood there watching them do this. They realized I was there and immediately the manager came up to me and said "can I help you?"
Well that was the wrong response. He knew what he did and they were all laughing about it.
This place is empty and to sit there and treat people the way they did was disgusting. They don't care about you or your business.
DO NOT GO HERE. If you want Flips, go to the Fort Worth location only.
