Frau Möller

This is a good casual spot option for some late night grub. Ordered the Goulash and the Currywurst with fries. Originally intended to get a drink or two but upon arrival I saw a sign on the door saying that this establishment was cash only (womp womp!)
Minus 2 stars because it's cash only, the Goulash barely had any beef much less the big chunks of beef that was to be expected (in actuality it only had very few and very tiny pieces of beef), the Currywurst was basically just sausage with ketchup (ie, no curry flavor and nothing special), and the server never came to check on me.
Would only return if it was the only late night food option in the area and I happened to have enough cash on me.

I know why everyone recommends Frau Möller! Well deserved!

A bit gruff and very crowded at lunch, but for good reason. Ice cold delicious beer and hot authentic local German food. Our waitress was fluent in English and made us feel welcome in a "so you're not from around her, but that's okay, sit here" kind of way.... Very pleasant!

The beer was plentiful and ice cold, and we had the Wienerschnitzel (I know... cliché, but oh so good!), and it came out fast, hot and delicious. Also, for French Fries fans... these were thin, hot and crispy! (Not a big fan of soft fries/chips).

Right near the train station for a meal before you travel, or while you're waiting to check into your hotel. We'll be back!

Neighborhood pub that is an outstanding place to watch soccer. Family and pet friendly. The servers move swiftly and do not pause for long. They are friendly but have little time to fraternize.

Food is solid. I enjoyed the labskaus--corned beef with fried eggs, potato and beets. The hamburger tasted a bit like a meatloaf. But fries were good. Beer for lunch? Of course! Tasty!

Very good atmosphere with food and beer. I would recommend the schnitzel!

This is a great traditional German place! They have a ton of options! We went in in the afternoon on a Thursday. They were crowded, but we were still able to get a table.
They didn't have any English menus available at the time, but luckily my friend was able to translate for me.

What I ordered: I ordered the herring with apple, onions, and potatoes. The food was yummy and cooked well. The dish had a large portion of some sort of mayo-based sauce which went along with the potatoes well.

I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good representation of German food!

I decided to get a late lunch. Most places close at three but Frau Möller was still serving. The waitress was very friendly and provided me a menu in English. The food was good and the prices were great! Remember cash only.

English menus available! Enjoy many German classics here, with seating indoor and out. We ordered the Schnitzel and it came very quickly.

Bring some coins to experience the nuts/snacks in a can vending machine!!

Hard to tell if you seat yourself or get seated immediately so we stood for a while trying to figure it out. Cash only. Service is pleasant. Dirty tables. Food was alright, nothing bad but nothing special... just your average bar food. They service skinny fries like McDonalds. Seems like a local spot.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere inviting. They have menus in English and the waitress spoke some English as well. My husband had the schnitzel which was very good. I had the goulash soup with red wine and bread which was fantastic on a cold, rainy afternoon!

based on other reviews I had read, this was the place I wanted to have a meal in Hamburg at, and it did not disappoint! the 'italian schintzel' I was was tasty enough and well cooked. what I loved is that it was simply schintzel on top of ziti with a nice red sauce that had a good spice to it!

what really made the visit though was the conviviality of the waitresses and my new best friend who struck up a conversation with me!
