Fremlin Walk is a fairly new development in the middle of Maidstone town centre. It has a good selection of shops - Next, Schuh, River Island, Republic, House of Fraser, Beaverbrooks - to name a few. There's also a few coffee shops dotted up and down the street.
My only advice to people shopping here is NOT to park in the underground car park - they charge extortionate prices to park the car. You are better off choosing one of the outside car parks like Brewer Street.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (khy8…)Redhill, Vereinigtes Königreich986127. Nov. 2008
This part of town stands out from the rest and definantly seems out of place. A nice stretch with the latest high street names topped off by a House of Fraser at the end.
The other part of town looks old and out-dated, but once you step into this area, it definantly improves the feel of Maidstone town centre.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (thepin…)Maidstone, Vereinigtes Königreich08518. Jan. 2009
I didn't really enjoy shopping in Maidstone, but when they built Fremlin Walk you just couldn't keep me away. The shops are getting better every day, and you have lots of different kind of shops to choose from. The usual Next, HMV, Topshop, Oasis, Hotel Chocolate, Orange, O2, Barrets, Waterstones, Clinton cards and Zara to name a few.
The main centre of Fremlin Walk is the big House of Fraser store. Its a fab department store, which connects to the Fremlin Walk car park.
The thing that could've improved Fremlin was maybe making it undercover. Its horrible walking around in the rain and cold. The shops are so great it would be nice to be undercover enjoying the Fremlin Walk experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (kelblu…)Gillingham, Vereinigtes Königreich779922. This is a massive high street newly built outside, it does everything from top shop and faith to boots and o2 and house of fraiser etc, you will find most shops you need up this walk

The mobile phone and jewellery centre of Maidstone, also boasts some chain clothes shops, JJB Sports, HMV and few oddities as well as House of Fraser at one end. Not much character although they have preserved a few bits of the old Fremlins Brewery in the complex.

This place is new for Maidstone and before it was built there was hardly anywhere to shop. This place has solved this problem shops by the plenty. At Weekends it gets very busy with loads of school kids hang around there the House of Fraser at the end of the walk is a very good size and is full of expensive designer cloths there are shops for everyone, HMV, Top shop and Top man, H&M, Zara, JJB sports Early Learning centre, Water stones and many more.

This is the new part of the Maidstone shopping, its a really good mix of shops and cafe's. The only problem is that it is all outside so if its raining you will get wet going from one shop to the next, but for the shops here, it is worth a look.
