The restaurant was amazing; snuggled away in a residential area. The dining area was quaint with the red napkins placed on your plate was a cute touch. Not speaking or reading danish we thought it would be difficult to order but our waitress was truly a god sent individual. She had much patience and helped with our ordering. We ordered the all you can eat special which was fantastic. The presentation was awesome and the tasty was spot on. We recommend this place for sure

I'm not one to give poor ratings but when I do, I base it on the quality of the food. So with that...
The food was alright but it took them some time to find some of their fish in the kitchen. When it came out, it didn't taste fresh and definitely was less than mediocre. The coke was flat because they use 1L bottles so it was clearly sitting out too long.
If you're not from here, I suggest finding fresh sushi elsewhere.
Also, if you're especially not from here, be sure to bring DKK because your credit card is not welcome here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Greg C.Kopenhagen, Dänemark102331165719. Mai 2016
I am sorry to break down the rating here, but if there's an adjective that pops up into my mind after trying "Fresh Sushi" is anything but "fresh". All the opposite!
I found the sushi very sticky, inconsistent and bland. And for the price we paid I was expecting more. So much more!
Location is OK as it's not too far away from the center and its facilities. It is easily accessible with the metro, the buses 77 and 78 or on foot. It's a thirty minutes walk from top Amager. Anyway, this is not the point.
I'm sorry to write this but I was really disappointed as the food was not good. For those who might think "This is a contradiction", I say I've had many vegetarian sushi and they were far tastier and enjoyable than this. And this is to say that a good sushi is possible, nonetheless.
The rice was overcooked, the vegetables were OK but the seasoning inexistent. It was not savory at all.
Plus, none of the staff members (owners and waitress) spoke english. I muddled through with my A0 danish level, but it's pretty annoying. Anyway, this could happen anywhere and it's no one's fault.
One scoring point is the environment: classy but not chic, stylish and authentic. I liked it!
I won't go back to Fresh Sushi, I'll try to find different spots in the city (maybe someone has an advice?).Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Justin J.Palms, Los Angeles, Vereinigte Staaten020511. Nov. 2019
Not "fresh" at all. In fact, they told us they were having trouble "finding" the eel nigiri we ordered. When the finally did 10 minutes later it was incredibly dry, and probably a health violation. Steer clear.
Also, they revealed at the end of the meal they don't take credit card and gave us a map to the nearest ATM. Classy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eva K.København S, Dänemark8569457824. Mai 2015
I might have found a new favourite take away sushi place.
The fish are fresh, the sushi tastier, albeit they're just ordinary western style sushi - don't expect anything fancy here, but what they have are good and much better than other sushi take away place that I have ever been. The service is friendly and fast.
I ordered the medium 14 stk and mini vegetarian spring rolls (it says 3 stk but I got much more than that!) and they all were ready after 20 minutes. Most important thing the spring rolls were home made, unlike the frozen ones that some take away place dared to sell.
Apart from take away, you could eat in as well, and have their all you can eat sushi that don't come in conveyor belts but they make them as you order them, so it stays "fresher" that way.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aus B.Denver, Vereinigte Staaten0151329. Juli 2013
Definitely good sushi. Prices are typically for sushi in a bigger city. Probably less expansive than other sushi places in Copenhagen...
We had 3 rolls and some nigiri. All were fresh as you expect from a sushi place. Not too much sauce in the rolls which was great.
Not a negative for the restaurant but when we went (unlike another yelp reviewer's comment) there were no English menu. I mention this because I spent a bit too much time trying to ask for an English menu. It is sushi it is pretty easy to figure things out...and like places in Japan they have pictures of the food items.
We had a great experience and will be coming back.
Oh they appear to only take local (Denmark) credit cards.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sabine W.Frederiksberg, Kopenhagen, Dänemark31392919. Okt. 2012
Good and no nonsense (western style) sushi.
No crazy and creative invention. But they know their trade and the quality and service is good.
On Demand sushi - I am a fan! Especially when you are more than two people. Because unlike running sushi, where you basically don't know for how long the plates have been spinning around, with On Demand you order what you want. And it is prepared on the spot. But because you order what you want, you often get 5+ pieces of sushi at a time - hence, it is a good idea to be min. three people so you get to sample the menu.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Stavros A.Kopenhagen, Dänemark4812. I love this place!
The service is very friendly and always with a smile! The sushi is always delicious and fresh!! The only tiny detail is that the nigiri have too much rice in my opinion, but that's just my opinion.. I definitely recommend flambé salmon nigiri, and Alaska inside-out maki. Also, take a look at the monthly menu! They always prepare something nice :)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
