Gaststätte Maulwurf

I wish I'd tried this place sooner, even though all the other places I've eaten in the Stuttgart area have been great. The vibe is pretty cool, there's outdoor seating, the menu is Swabian-ish, and the dark German beer I had was outstanding. Seems like every country has a flatbread - the one I had didn't disappoint. Service was efficient and helpful.

One of the best places to eat in town. Always packed in the evenings. Tonight they served food until 11pm. Don't stand in the doorway, the owner doesn't like it. But order a beer, they have a great selection! Pretty much everything on their menu is really good.

Great service, and even in English, staff very polite. The Schwabian salad I had was excellent (as much meat as lettuce). Extensive beer selection (like 6-7 pages)... and almost as many whiskey choices!

My new fave in Vaihingen!

Food was excellent and so was the service! A great beer selection that my husband enjoyed. Can't pay with card only cash and the seating is very close together but I don't mind! Definitely going back!!!

This place offers phenomenal beer.


They have great food as well and a large smoking area. There is a deal with the corso cinema for 1/2 off your 1st drink at Maulwurf with a ticket stub for a movie. Sorted!
