Me and a pal had driving ambition to try out London Mini Golf as part of a recent QYPE event. Tucked around the corner from Liverpool Street Station, Devonshire Square hosts an 18 hole mini golf course. For a Fiver you could recharge a little sea side nostalgia and demonstrate your putting prowess over slopes, tunnels, and windmills! The course was good, hitting through a bowling alley and a minutia Battersea PowerStation was great fun and afar cry from the peeling paint of your typical 1950's seaside crazy golf course.

It was clear from the first holeI was a bad golfer - from the secondit was a fore-gone conclusion that I will be shamed wooden spoon winner! And indeed I was. My handicap.? A longstanding 'Golf-Elbow!'

Of particular interest was the 19th hole (the bar) where we were greeted by a pear / sparkling wine / star anise cocktail courtesy of Cinnamon Kitchen a bar /restaurant next to the course. It was deliciously different and I could have quite easily hit this down in one!! Shortly followed by flavoursome Indian canopies. Yum.

I was a little Tee'd off by the banning of drinking on the course and maybe the night could have down with some musical ambience. But, if you are looking for something a little bit different to do in London grab your putter and tap your way to victory at Devonshire square.

What's not to love about mini-golf? It can be as mellow or competitive as you like and is always good for a few laughs. And just the knowledge that there's a full 18-hole course in Central London (steps from Liverpool Street Station) in a beautifully renovated (and covered) courtyard makes me love this city even more.
Managed by Moneypenny Events (http://www.moneypennyevents.com/content/golf-devonshire-square.asp) , this Devonshire Square mini-golf course offers a cheap and easy opportunity for fun. A round costs $5/per which sounds like value for money to me. Weekly and monthly passes are available too. I was there with 14 other Qypers and everybody had a brilliant time. Everybody loved it. At the end we all convened at the 19th Hole for some tasty cocktails and nibbles from Cinnamon Kitchen's Anise Bar (which is right there in the same Devonshire Square Courtyard).

Devonshire Square is tucked a few steps away from Liverpool Street Station. At the moment, along with its offices and restaurants, there's a mini golf course in the courtyard.

For £5, you get to play a full eighteen holes; putter, golf ball, scorecard and pencil are included. The course is great fun - not so difficult that you lose heart, but with enough twists, turns and rotating hazards to make it a challenge. The perfect way to unwind from work!

Well, I for one didn't even know that this lovely covered area even existed.

Just off Bishopsgate and leaning towards the city crowd rather than the Brick Lane crowd, the sight of the Gherkin through the roof at the 18th must be one of the most iconic views in golf.

was here with Chris for a Qype event and we all had a fun time trying to negotiate the paddle steamer, tunnels and bridges. I think only one of our group managed to lose their ball down the ventilation shaft at the 6th - a hazard Nick Faldo never had to face as far as I'm aware.

got to be good for office team building excercises (as much as that very concept upsets me) as well as a lunchtime round to get away from the bustle of the city.

The nibbles and cocktails from Cinnamon Kitchen at the end were tasty (although for 15 of us not enough to be filling)

All in all if I needed to arrange a fun activity afternoon or evening in the city then i'd certainly consider getting my plus fours out, purchasing a visor and trooping down here. I certainly have room for improvement on my handicap. Fore!

Awesome! Pitch 'n' putt min-golf right in the centre of London. Just a few steps from Liverpool Street station, under a covered courtyard in Devonshire Square, there's a full 18-hole mini-putt golf course.

All the regular fun is here: different putting greens with different obstacles: windmills, tunnels, multi-levels.

And the 19th hole is a few open seats and tables with a mojito bar at the end. You can get snacks and other cocktails.

A round is £5. Weekly and monthly all-you-can-play, if you live or work nearby, is £20 and £50 respectively.
