Advertizing itself as healthy fastfood it's an "occasionally acceptable" option. A bit nicer, a bit pricier, and definitely friendlier. The burrito bowl and standard burrito, pulled pork or spicey chicken are among our favourites.

The burrito's are delicious, so full of flavour and very filling. I've tried the chicken and vegie burritos now.

We had a movie to catch so only had 30 minutes to order and eat. The burritos came out in less than 5 minutes so we had plenty of time to chat and eat.

You can pick up a Guzman 'Gomex' card and earn loyalty points every time you order. 150 points and you get $10 off your next purchase.

Can't wait to try the tacos, nachos, enchiladas, salads and the slushies. Hmmm what to choose next time! :)

      Arriba !

Had the Spicy Chicken Guerrero and Barramundi burrito bowls. Stopped in here for a lazy Sunday lunch today with the gf and have to say I confirm with aplomb the hype surrounding this place. This is fast food, cooked well for a reasonable price. I would say it sits in the region of Nandos pricing but with similar quality food.

The Jarritos soft drinks go down a treat (we shared a Mango Mango). Both the borrito bowls we got we monstrous and we just about rolled out of the place afterwards. The Spicy Chicken Guerrero Burrito is recommended for people that like a bit of spice in their food. The Barramundi Burrito is also nice but lacking the same kick. There are condiments and jalapenos near the serviettes for those who require extra heat.

Service was friendly and the inside of the shop has a modern and cool feel to it. There is a reasonable amount of seating inside and out. This place is hip and a great idea. I will definitely be back to check out more of their offerings.

Headed there for their free burrito opening day today.

At 11am when they opened the store, the line of customers out the front was over 100 metres long. They still managed to take our order, serve our food and get us seated in less than 10 minutes. Quite an achievement, especially on opening day!

The food was great. We tried the barramundi and pork burrito. The barramundi was really bland, great for those who don't like spice. The pork was much more up my alley with a nice little kick of spice to it.

They sell salads and tacos and quesadillas too.

The service was super friendly and I couldn't believe the speed they were pumping the burritos out at in the open kitchen.

The workforce in Northbridge seemed pretty stoked for this new arrival.

I mean Mexico is pretty far from Australia, so they did there best to make this Mexican food lol. Of course it want traditional Mexican food, but it was still tasty. I was surprise that they had Jarritos! I ordered the veggie burrito bowl with a side of nacho chips. I was delighted that the chips were warm!

The lads and I had just finished a solid morning of smashing out plots, working up a hunger fiercer than a hungry toddler without a nap. The only thing that could slate such a crippling hunger was a couple of burritz.

We jumped into Rusty's 2005 Nissan Pulsar and hit the road. We could barely contain our excitement. Sandstorm was blaring, windows were down, but our spirits were sky high.

We pulled into Northbridge with reckless abandon. We had no regard for anyone or anything. Our minds were fixated on Guzzys like Bruiser on getting the job done. Driving down the road the absolute perfect carpark opened up. Right out the front of Libido and Club X, lunch promised to not only be delicious, but sexy too. With thoughts of the Leviathan running through our heads we stepped into the black and yellow decor of Guzzys.

The thing that initially alarmed me was the lack of banter between the server and I. I tried to get some real, good old fashioned honest banter up and running, but she wasn't having a bar of it. Disappointedly I ordered the sautéed vege burrito, the churros and a "100% sugar" Jarrito. My usual MO is to take an immediate left and get a couple southwest and jalapeño sauces and some red onion, but to my absolute dismay it was no where to be found.

I sat down at the table and waited in anticipation for the thick burritz coming my way. In no time flat some of my food arrived, but unfortunately it was the churros, something I was looking forward to having for desert. A short time later my burritz arrived, along with the stockpile of sauces. I leapt out of my chair like someone who had accidentally sat on a leviathan and loaded up on some sauce. I sat back down and got ready to begin devouring my Guzzys sautéed veg burritz.

I unwrapped the majestic foil wrapping and sunk my teeth into the thick, pulsating vegetable sausage. That first bite was as if the lord himself was pouring honey straight into my mouth. Oh what heaven it was, a dab of sauce here, a dab of sauce there and a cheeky cube of red onion for the metaphorical icing on the burrito cake. Each bite was better than the last until the worst thing could have happened. There were no more bites to be had. I sat the rubbish down and turned my eye to the tasty treat before me, the COLD churros.

Washing the last of my burritz down with a mouthful of pure sugar Jarrito I reached into the sugar filled churros bag and ripped them out like a virgin tearing open a condom. With similar enthusiasm I tore open the sauce and dipped my way into orgasm. Although a bit cool from the early delivery, the churros were an absolute delight.

All in all I rate Guzzys a 4 stars out of 5, the main downfall being the lack of banter from the lovely server. However the casual and friendly atmosphere facilitated banter between patrons. The food was absolutely ripper. I will say the choice of K-pop over the loudspeaker was absolutely perfect, couldn't have chosen a better soundtrack myself.

I arrived to the opening launch with about 100 people ahead of me in the line.. however it only took 20 mins until i was inside. Atleast 20 staff pushing out free burritos all day and my goodness what a burrito! I got the pork because i get the pork from mad mex and these were just as good, and even bigger and it was free!

Definantly going back to try everything else, but lets just hope this is the last mexican food outlet in Perth now... We've hit our mexi limit :/

One of my favourite take-out Mexican eateries in Perth. GYG serve a range of burritos, enchiladas, tacos, fajitas and heaps more!

Burritos are jam packed and filled with all the goodness of a classic burrito and loads of flavour. The salads are also a great and tasty option and the servings are large - yes!! Service is also super friendly and fast! You can also help yourself to a range of sauces (tobasco) and condiments (jalapeño, cilantro and onion) :-)

Totally Amazeballs! I'm a huge fan!

Opening day at Guzman Y Gomez saw amazingly long lines of eager burritos fans on James St, grabbing one of the free burritos on offer.....

Now you might think that a free burrito means a sample size/a mini version of the actual thing but NO Guzman & Gomez gave away full sized, you might say humungous, burritos!! Excellent marketing idea I think and even though they were pumping what seemed hundreds a minute - those burritos were probably some of the best burritos I have ever tasted..

I had the veggie burrito and it was packed packed packed! Tasty, Juicy, Hot OMG delicious burrito! totally worth the 20 min line to get one of these beauties! :)

BUT the awesomeness doesn't stop there!

One of my massive pets hate is that in most takeaway shops you have to pay extra for sauce... seriously WHAT GIVES?! BUT NOT HERE! nope you can grab your own little takeaway container, complete with lid and fill it with any three kinds of tabasco sauce PLUS jalapeños! YES they give you jalapeños to further enjoy your mexicana experience... now that is AWESOME service! There's nothing better than pouring a little, or a lot, of tabasco sauce on your burrito and chowing down on some crunchy jalapeños... I loves it!

I will definitely be going back to try the other vego items on the menu and I can't wait to report back! :)

ps liquor licence TBC but apparently they will soon have sangrias! (seriously can this simple take away shop get any better?)

Opening day production line!! Amaze balls!

Finally found a Mexican restaurant in APAC that can satiate my Tex-Mex cravings. Their burritos are big and hearty and after having a ridiculous lunch here consisting of a pork burrito enchilada style (drenched in guacamole, salsa, etc) and a nacho with spicy chicken (watch out, it's really spicy!) I'm good for AT LEAST a month before I will crave another street taco or carnitas burrito with all the trimmings.

This place definitely met my Mexpectations! (Quoting another reviewer here b/c I LOVE that term)

Monster burrito enchilada style. So delicious and painfully filling
