LAZY ,RUSHED ,AND JUST PLAIN BAD ,DON'T LET THEM NEAR YOUR HAIR

After reading a glowing review on a fashion insiders blog of who is the best in Berlin i read about Hair Muller and realizing it was the same small hairdresser that i pass on my way to the supermarket everyday ,i booked an appointment for color .I was initially told Nico was busy till next week, when i said then I'd leave it because i have a trip leaving Monday , the receptionist offered an appointment 2 days later.I arrived ,was well prepared to make sure Nico understood that a) my hair is integral to my job as a performer in my own films ,playing classic film characters and b) the exact colour i wanted was going to take colour AND highlights and be tricky ..i know what i'm talking about i've been doing hair for 30 years and have done it professionally for fashion, film and tv ,i brought in my ipad and showed him photos of me as a child and showed him the exact colour ..i should have twigged when he tried to rush me into the wrong colour completely and didn't take into account that my hair was extremely bleached ( golden rule ALWAYS on over -processed hair go 1-2 shades lighter then shown ) also a good haircolourist will TAKE TIME and blend several colours together especially on over- processed hair to counteract possible negative results ,a real top professional seldom use a colour straight from the chart (which is really no different from one size fits all ) You pay a decent professional to custom colour your hair ,When i asked if he could use a semi or demi permanent he waffled on about how great the product he was using was saying it was 'no amonia ' MAJOR RED FLAG i should have left right then ... ( Amonia free is pretty meaningless scientifically it's a marketing con the chemical compound is almost identical to replace amonia and it's hardly groundbreaking'.Loving Care 'have been amonia free for 20 years, and it's just as drying if not more so ..) ..Anyway when he was rinsing the colour off he quickly rubbed bleach around the hairline because he couldn't be bothered to do highlights due to lack of time , i have to admit i have never seen that method,it wasn't bad but it's far from ideal .As he was washing it off he kept saying how great it looked trying to convince me ..I said i needed to see it and i WOULD BE THE JUDGE as he was only judging from the back and had not seen me from the front ..I started to be more suspicious that i was just being rushed and he was trying to talk me into the sloppy job that had been done, when he told me to blow dry my own hair !!! .I said it may still need correcting it's a tricky job which is why i wanted someone else to do it ,and i may need highlights to get the look i want he said 'No Time ' .Then i saw myself i really hated it , the actual colour came out a horrible mousy slime -brown with no warmth to it at all ,.It looked hideous next to my skin tone and i told him so .He was unconcerned, just before i dried my hair i i saw him give the man next to me a decent haircut and knowing i had very little hair to cut and how quickly he could do it ,i asked him to speedily to check that my haircut was even as i'd cut it myself dry ,he picked up clippers and did something i couldn't see the back without telling me what he was doing and evened up the sides and they did look better complimenting me on my cut .i said i hated the colour ,he said 'next time it will be better !? He obviously thought i knew nothing about hair ,or was lying about having cut my own hair, as he talked bollocks about my hair being too bleached and that effected the dye.. The fact is if he had taken time , used a semi/demi permanent as i'd asked he could have deposited colour and build up a nice rich tone tweaking it in response to variable dye reactions , as we went .. ,i told him I'd have to correct it myself ,he just totally unconcerned ,no pride at all .. just shrugged .. in other words ..' 40 euros ,Too bad ,next client '.
I have since corrected the horrendous job a( he never even bothered to show me the back he clippered in a mirror ,hairdressing 101 ! i didn't see the ugly straight clippered back till i got home,,GROSS such a lazy ugly way to shape a woman's nape ,and he erased my perfect V shape ) I re- shaped the ugly back .. total correction took all afternoon ,.2 boxes of henna , paint brushes ,gloss mousses ,,3 diifferent painted-in colours, little bleach ,deep condition and now PERFECT.. it took TIME
'Hair Muller' needs a Tabitha Coffey expose episode , it suffers from all the classic signs of BAD salon practices and management ,over - booking( greed),lack of care and pride, operating moto'wheel 'em in ,get 'em out FAST ',talk patronizing bollocks to client to cover for badly executed work, get their cash and show no accountability . I really don't understand how on earth they got a big time fashion insiders review . IT SUCKS BIG TIME
