Hamburger Botschaft is fast becoming a favourite place to watch german football.


if you're walking past you might wonder whether this place is really a bar - there is no sign (that I'm aware of), there is often no furniture and when there is it's normally a bunch of very basic chairs lined up in rows facing a huge white wall that they aim a projector at. This gives them one of the biggest football screens in Hamburg!


Also, the beer is good and quite cheap and they also do sausages :)

Mad underground football bar / space. Somebody is cheering in a megaphone right now!

I have been here twice but for one reason and one reason only; to watch football.
A big empty space, 100 or so seats, a bar down the side, a big white wall and a data projector. If you want you can smoke (I don't but don't care if others do) and it's free to get in.
So on the above it does well. I am slightly ashamed I have only been here for Footie though, I hear there are much better and more worthwhile reasons to visit at other times
