High Rooftop Lounge

I still can't resist a birds-eye view, so when I was back in town I had to stop by. This is still a perfect way to relax and get your Venice beach time in.

Sunset views were amazing, wish I could say the same for the service.

Brought my cousins here from out of state to enjoy some cocktails, food and sunset views.

Our server started off strong then pretty much disappeared. We couldn't find him to order more drinks.

Then we were ready to leave and couldn't find him to get the check. My cousin tried to get the managers attention and that took multiple attempts as well.

When we finally got our check it was just the credit card receipts. No detailed breakdown showing everything we got.

We had to leave to get to our next location and didn't have time to ask for one.

The drinks and food we had were also really good.

The restaurant either needs to staff it more or figure out service sections better. Our waiter was bouncing all over the rooftop.

I'd like to come back and hopefully have a different experience in the future.

The views were perfect.

This place is best experienced with reservations. Parking can be challenging in the area, but I managed to find a spot across the street from the hotel at $15 to $20 until midnight. The ambiance is fantastic, featuring heated lamps and a beautiful ocean view. Watching the sunset here is a must, and it truly lives up to expectations. I highly recommend trying the Sunset Tequila cocktail; it's delightful. The fries were also exceptional, and our server was incredibly helpful. In summary, this place exudes a great vibe and is perfect for group outings or a memorable date night

High Rooftop Lounge/Erwin Hotel: Number one, it's all about the beautiful sunset, it's absolutely stunning, and I highly recommend! I've been here with groups of friends; so whenever friends are in town, High is one of the places at the beach, ride along the Venice Boardwalk, that I love showing them!

April 2023/Party of 6: Wanting my friend in town from Seattle & another who had just arrived back from Thailand, to see the gorgeous sunset, friends drove over to my place, and we all walked up the boardwalk to the Erwin Hotel, rooftop lounge, High! One of my friends also happened to be staying at the hotel! We were seated right away & our server was super nice and accommodating! Refreshing drinks were steadily flowing & the french fries were perfect, so we ordered plenty as a snack! The sunset was stunning!

September 2023/Party of 2: Craving refreshing drinks after a long walk, as well as appetizers, while my friend was in town from Oakland, we enjoyed the sunset view and food at High! It was towards the end of the evening, so there were just a few people! The music was perfect, the vibe was relaxing, and the appetizers were enjoyable! We were surprised that the place closed so early, but happy to enjoy the view!

Overall: I love enjoying the beautiful view at High Rooftop Lounge, it's a stunner and keeps me coming back for more, as the sunset delights me every single time! Cool vibe as well!

The views are great, obviously, but the food is just okay.

Went here for an office event, and we had a food and beverage arrangement. The drinks were good and we had a personal bartender. I especially liked their California orange wine.

The food was lacking though... between 10 people, we got about as much food as in the picture. It really wasn't enough, and they didn't get the flavors right.

Idk if I would come back for the food here.

Here is a Wow, what an incredible experience at High Rooftop Lounge! The views are simply breathtaking - you can see for miles and miles. But what really made our visit stand out was the exceptional customer service from Max. He recommended the chicken wings and burger, and let me tell you, they were OUT OF THIS WORLD! The flavors were bold and delicious, and the presentation was top-notch. Max was attentive, friendly, and made us feel like VIPs. He went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time. The atmosphere was lively and chic, and the drinks were expertly crafted. High Rooftop Lounge is a must-visit destination in Venice Beach - don't miss out! Big shout out to Max for his exceptional service. 5 stars and a huge thumbs up! "

All in all, a mixed bag of good and bad. There are some really cool things about this place. Ambiance was super cool. Watched an amazing sunset and ocean waves with Santa Monica pier and Malibu in the distance. They come and bring you blankets if you want them.

A bit pricey. They really kick you out at 9pm and they mean it. They were out of quite a few menu items. All the flat bread was out and they didn't have ginger beer for any of the mule drinks. None. No ginger beer. Props to the bartender who made us a very delicious drink anyways using jalapeno seeds and slices. It was fantastic. A couple stars back in your direction.

Food was ok, small and expensive. They have some vegan options, which is helpful, but again, missing a lot of menu items. The menu is already small, so that really cuts down on your options when all flatbreads are out. I ordered the lobster roll. It was the smallest lobster roll on the West coast. Holy smokes! It was like 1.5 Kings Hawaiian buns in length and 1 tablespoon of lobster. An appetizer size...for $22. Tasted great, but just wish there was more of it. Two bites and gone.

Wait staff was cool. Most of them just seemed over dealing with drunk, entitled tourists, but that's not our fault. We were being cool and being respectful.

Security were total dicks. Chasing us out of there like we didn't just spend $200 on food and drinks. "We're closing soon. Everybody's gotta go! Use the other exit!" Simmer down. Geez. We get it, you want to go home, but there is a much different way to inform your guests. Simple hospitality training.

Some small changes would go a long way.

The views alone is amazing and perfect for a sunset cocktails. We stopped by after walking along the boardwalk for a beer. Didn't have reservations but as we were just having a drink, there was seating available. It was still kind of early and plenty of seating that was empty but reserved, I assume as the sign was on the table. Like mentioned, the view alone is amazing. Service was good, went up to the bar to order our drink versus having a waiter. It does get busy drying sunset so that's a heads up. And of you have a big group, maybe it's a good idea for reservations. Didn't have any food so may need to come back for that.

Great spot to come to for drinks and chill vibes! I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for dinner but if you're with a group and want small bites it's perfect!

The wings were great with the chili sauce, as well as the fries. The flatbread wasn't my favorite but I also don't like chorizo so more of a personnel choice.

Great vibes! And good drinks! We had Lauren as a server and she was SUPER awesome! Incredibly friendly and well attentive to our table!

We didn't have reservations but we're seated right away. I would recommend reservations but I'm still unsure on how to make them!

My favorite part was due to the sun setting I got cold and they offered us really cozy blankets. That was nice so be sure to ask your server about them.
