Holiday Inn Express & Suites Orlando-Ocoee East

I'm a Spire Elite member and stay in IHG hotels across the world. I used points to book a free standard room and was automatically upgraded to King executive suite with a queen and king bed in 2 rooms. The hotel is clean, modern and comfortable. My room was cozy and spacious. Front desk attendant greeted me warmly and recognized my Spire Elite status then provided the upgrade. A free continental breakfast is offered and the hotel has an outdoor pool. It is located 30 minutes from Disney and Sea World. A Logan's Steakhouse is next door. An excellent newer property to stay within the Orlando area.

We were in Orlando for a small vacation and gave this place a try. The front desk was very nice and friendly. Our room was clean and smelled fresh! This entire hotel was non smoking which is great because we were traveling with a baby. The price is great and affordable! Free breakfast too! I absolutely love it!

This place was great. The rooms were better than I had anticipated. They were very clean and I appreciated the little extras in the bathroom. We stayed on the 3rd floor near the stairs and it was very quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and even though it ended at 10 on the weekend, I saw that latecomers were still able to get food for the next 10-20 mins. This hotel also seems to have several church groups come in and have service in their meeting rooms so don't be surprised to see people dressed to the nines around the lobby.

I will ding them for the poor WiFi but it wasn't a major issue. I'd stay here again if I needed to.

Not a bad stay for two nights. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast was decent and catered to my needs. The staff at the counter were helpful and kind day and night. I'd stay here again for the same cheap price.

Hotel room was very nice it was last minute and the man that i called said there were no single beds available big enough for two people so i was confused but when i got there the lady was super nice and told me i had reserved a twin bed...for $100. So i got a king room and it was clean, bathroom was clean and huge. The internet blew but the breakfast was hot and fresh. I liked that they had a mini snack bar instead of vending machines. If it weren't for the confusion over the room i would've given five stars. Very pleased. Especially for the only hotel with no hookers that was accommodating last minute.

Nov 27/19: The previous rankings are about right. This place was about a 3-Star Hotel.

There's nothing actually wrong with it. The room had a very high ceiling, nice & clean bathroom, decent bed & linens. The carpet in the room could of used to be cleaned as they were run down in the traffic areas. The bathroom was decently appointed with lots of towels & soaps and such.

Decent size parking lot with room to park a large pickup truck. One good point...the free breakfast was decent. Bacon, turkey sausage, egg omelettes & various other breakfast items with few of what's good for you I should point out! I no additional charge. The breakfast highlight was the crispy bacon. Yum!

I'd stay here again when I'm in town.

This is a bare bones hotel. No water bottles, plastic drinking cups in bathroom. Nothing memorable, except the low water pressure shower. I did like that each room has a refrigerator, microwave and cabinet for dry food and dishes. Housekeeping was 4 stars. But the overall vibe 1-2 stars max. Location is less than ideal. I am moving about 3 miles up the road for my next stay.

It's a Holiday Inn. Worthy of noting of this one in particular: The elevator needs oiled, or greased, or whatever. It's LOUD. It sounds like an air compressor turning on. Get a room as far away from the elevators as possible, or they'll keep you up all night.

Poor Service, Poor Quality, Poor Neighborhood, but High price. For how much it costs to stay in this hotel you should just spend the $20 more a night to stay in a better hotel. My wife and I came down to Orlando, FL for a wedding and arrived 4 nights early to explore WDW and have a little fun. We stayed at the Wyndham in WDW for those nights and paid only slightly more for far, far, far better accommodations. Had it not been for the proximity to the wedding we would have never stayed at the Holiday Inn.

We had multiple interaction with the front desk receptionists of which all were very horrible. In one instance the hotel manager asked if we could carry a package for him back to Milwaukee on our flight because it was to expensive for him to send it via the mail... Very sketchy... Dude, don't you know what flight travel is like today??? You can't accept packages from strangers to carry aboard a plane.

We also booked one too many nights at the hotel due to overlap in our hotels and missed the first night at the Holiday Inn. The receptionist said "due to the fact that we missed the first night that they were not obligated to hold our room and that no room was available for us." 1.) The hotel was damn near empty. 2.) We didn't request any money back for the night we missed. 3.) She was extremely rude about the whole situation.

You have been warned.... Proceed with caution.

remodeling smells AWFUL glues, paint construction odors bad enough to give us headaches and make our eyes burn. no notice on website ahead of time. very loud, can hear neighbors thru walls and doors slamming all hours. bathrooms could be cleaner.
