Hotel Garni Mittelweg

Elegant hotel with aging decorations and facilities.

Disappointing breakfast with no cooked eggs.

Friendly and helpful reception staff, but elderly server in the breakfast room should learn to smile at guest.

Tiny single room, comfortable bed.

Quite a busy road, so room at the front quite noise.

This is a gorgeous little hotel! When I entered the hallway it felt like I was going back in time; the decoration and furnishings are all georgian in style and very plush!


My bedroom was all dark wood and felt very rich, which is what I would have had to be to drink anything out of the mini bar. EUR12 for a glass of wine!!
The bed was extremely comfortable and the peacefulness of the place made sure I had a great nights sleep.


There is no restaurant for dinner only breakfast which is a real shame as it was a delight to dine in such beautiful surroundings. The massive chandelier in the dining room is wasted at breakfast time!


Unfortunatley I have to say that it wasn't really suitable as a 'business' hotel but I would highly recommend it for a romantic break!
