I found this hotel to be an inexpensive option, with convenient parking, a short commute to downtown by bus or car. Despite the lack of air conditioning during a record heat wave, the room was very comfortable at night with the windows open and a fan running.

I travel for business and use sites like Expedia or Hotels.com to book my stays on the fly. When I booked this hotel, my plans had to change midstream. Marriott was not willing to reschedule the remainder of my 6 days or refund.
For the purpose of business, I need hotels that will adapt to changes. This Marriott does not seem to be accommodating for business needs and changes.
Example: I booked for 11 days to complete an install. The instrument still had not been delivered by the 5th day. I was requested to reschedule and return a week later. Marriott wants to charge my 11 days that I hadn't fully used; even though I would return for possibly an additional 5 or 6 days depending.
Now Marriott has now lost a travel buddy for life. IHG or any non Marriott branded property, I will now be booking with you.
Otherwise the hotel was decent, but not close to the part of town one would visit. Actually pretty boring there and anything within a 20 minute walk. You will want to stay in old town of Heidelberg Germany. It will save you a ton on taxi fairs going to restaurant's and bars.
If your plans change midstream, make sure you don't book with Expedia or similar sites. As well, I lost faith in Hotels.com as now I fear booking anything past one night stays. Neither Hotels.com or Marriott will not accommodate my business or changing needs.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
