Very professional, clean, spacious and historical hotel. I would have given five stars except the tall good looking young doorman should not be there working. I don't think he knows his roll and responsibilities as the face of the hotel. He completely ignored me and my daughter when we arrived nor helped w luggage from the gate to the taxi though very few steps. He just stared and didn't greet or attempted to help two women.
Otherwise concierge and front desk were great. The breakfast buffet at the hotel had many choices with transitional European ambiance.
Again. Too bad about the doorman's attitude

Dresden was one of my favorite cities in Germany, and this hotel was AMAZING!
Our room was legit. We had a cool view of the surrounding buildings which had awesome architecture, and we had amazing weather so we took a bunch of pictures from the windows. We had a corner room so it may have been bigger than some of the normal rooms, but there were so many windows!! We had at least 6, which was awesome during the day when we wanted to let in a lot of light, but kind of weird when we wanted privacy. The bed was very comfortable, and the desk and chairs were very nice. The bathroom was very pretty as well, and the soap they provided smelled awesome!! Way better than some of the other stuff we have come across on our travels.
We also checked out the pool which was okay, kind of small and not very warm. But the sauna was great, definitely give this a try, it does wonders for your skin!! Breakfast was very good here as well, the service was great and they even had dim sum one day! Granted it took forever for them to bring it out but when they did it was worth the wait. They also had a little section for kids with chocolate treats (which my sister and I raided lol). Very cute!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
