Hungriges Herz

This restaurant is right by the Frauenhoferstraße U-Bahn stop, which makes it a great place to grab a bite to eat and some coffee. The staff is very friendly, and the abundance of options is fantastic. The breakfast club sandwich is huge and amazing. I really loved that it had avocado on it! I have also tried a few of their breakfast bowls, when I wanted something a little lighter, and they did not disappoint.

We needed a quick bite to eat while out shopping for a lederhosen and stumbled upon this cafe. Everything we had here was great. The place felt upscale and relaxed at the same time.

We had the acai bowl which I'm happy wasn't too sweet and he granola still crunchy. My bf and I split the sweet potato and truffle oil pizza. Never seen sweet potato on a pizza nor would I ever have paired it with truffle but wow did it work! I wish they had anything like this love in Chicago. Not to mention, it was shaped like a heart and cute af.

I also had the bourbon berry bowl. Once you get down into the berries... omg

The waitresses seem overworked and stressed. We waited 20 minutes to order drinks. Another 10 to order food, then around 20 minutes until the food came. Now we are talking a Monday around noon. Not especially a super busy time?
The ice latte we ordered was warm. As was the apple juice. The food was uninspiring. It looked nice, tasted fine. But kind of meh.
Great double cappuccino though. Also nice environment.
Typical German customer service. Aka non-existent.

If you only come here for a cappuccino doppio you won't be disappointed. This was my favorite coffee-drink in Munich!

We order several small plates of food to share and we're pleased with all of them. The service was pretty bad but it was ok because the food and atmosphere were great!

A nice respite from some nippy Bavarian winds...

We popped into Hungriges Herz while visiting over a weekend. Based on a very quick Yelp app search + needing a spot to recharge a bit, HH seemed to be the spot. Apparently -- for many others as well! The crowd was convivial, the place pleasantly buzzing at all times. Tables turned and it seemed there was always just enough seats for those that needed them.

Cappuccino doppio = a treat!

We ordered some light food (salads, sandwiches) and everything was great. Our server was sweet, everything arrived quickly and they were more than sweet with our 7 month old baby.

Great cafe in Munich -- there is a side entrance for take away orders as well -- coffees, pastries, etc.

In General it seems like a nice location. Lots of young and hip people are hanging out around here and enjoy a coffee or some of the treats they offer.
We only came for a coffee and I asked for a regular black coffee and all I got was an Americano. I specified in particular that i didn't want a Americano.
Nevertheless the Americano was okay and the prices are more than just reasonable for that area.

Conveniently located by the Frauenhoferstrasse U-Bahn Station, this restaurant was a lucky find when my friends and I were out wandering last August. It is very small and our large group had to sit outside on makeshift seats of box-crates, but it was a fun and interesting experience, and the staff let my friend keep her dog beside her. I had the Margarita pizza, which was delicious and shaped like a heart! It went very well with the theme. My friends enjoyed their food as well, and the waitress was very nice to us and helped us figure out the menu when we didn't understand.

Good music. Quite on weekday afternoons. Great window seats for lounging. Among the best cappuccinos in Munich.

I actually found the cappuccino a little bit blah. But the pizza was exceptional, and the pasta was actually quite good. We got the penne with cream sauce mushrooms and pancetta. Tiramisu was OK.

Pasta with salmon and cranberries very yummy. Family friendly, nice relaxed seating and music. Great windows.
