Although our stay was good, I do have to make a comment about the amenities. First off, we mainly booked this hotel instead of others because it specifically lists "laundry" as an amenity. However, when we asked the concierge about it, there apparently is no laundry service on site. The pool was under construction and based on the previous reviews, it has been for a while. The on-site restaurant was closed even though the we checked during the documented business hours.

There were definitely more bang-for-our-buck options in the area. We had better amenities at a different Hyatt for the same point value.

Excellent customer service ALWAYS! Have stayed several times and was disappointed during the pandemic when the property closed all together! Happy to see it back open again!

Excellent globalist recognition with a room upgrade and free breakfast (currently limited room service menu only).

Beds are heavenly and the pool is quaint on the third floor!

All dining establishments are currently closed and no evening room service - but there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance!

Very clean property with excellent customer service!

Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. That's about it as far as the pros for this place.

The rooms are outdated and in need of a face lift. The price ($306 for one night with taxes and fees) was not worth it at all, but I was in a time crunch and picked the first centrally located Hyatt I saw in ABQ.

Almost stayed in Santa Fe for the night, and I wish I had done that instead.

Definitely dated, and not up to Hyatt standards.

A lot of stuff is still closed, which I'm willing to overlook because the hotel is still re-opening from the pandemic. For example, while the third floor pool was open, the jacuzzi was not. The in-hotel Starbucks was closed (which is unfortunate because members with status typically receive coffee from there as a benefit).

Three stars are for the housekeeping. First off, they don't tell you at check-in that there's no housekeeping, except upon request. Upon request is fine, but tell us so we don't come back expecting a clean room and it's not.

We requested it over three days though, and it NEVER came until finally on the third day when I sent repeated messages asking for housekeeping. This was frustrating because we never got fresh daily water bottles or in-room coffee, not to mention our trash was overflowing.

The location is excellent if you need to be by the convention center; probably the closest of any of the hotels. There is lots of great dining on Central street just nearby.

The Hyatt Regency is a classy place and on my second stay here, I was super impressed by their customer service. I can't wait to come back!

The hotel itself is really nice, with an amazing atrium lobby replete with shops, like a gift shop where you can get souvenirs and sundries, an art gallery, and a women's apparel store. There are also multiple options for grabbing a bite to eat or a pick me up, with a Starbucks, Keva Juice, a deli, the hotel bar, and Forque. Excellent options to fit anyone's needs. And if that's not enough for you, there are restaurants and bars a plenty within walking distance.

Every employee we interacted with was great and did everything to accommodate our requests. We checked in and discovered that we had been upgraded to a suite! Who doesn't like that?! The room was incredible and made our trip extra special so we cannot thank the staff enough for that amazing surprise! It honestly was one of the best parts of our trip to Albuquerque. In my opinion, the rooms are super nice--despite what some other yelp reviews say--with nice modern materials and colors. The bathrooms are spacious with showers and tubs. The beds are large and comfy with great sheets. And one of the best parts are the curtains that blackout any light coming in. My only complaint is that the bathrooms don't have fans. But not a deal breaker!

We used the valet--we figured it was worth it to pay $20 and have the valet attendants deal with parking, rather than save $4 a day to park it ourselves. The employees were helpful and friendly whenever we needed our car or if we needed to get something out of it.

One thing that I really appreciated is that they now have a number you can text if there's anything you need. This is totally appealing to millennials and I gotta say that I love it! Any question or concern we had, we could text and within a few moments get a response. It was nice to have that so even if we weren't in our room, we could get assistance if we needed it.

I look forward to returning to the Hyatt Regency and another wonderful stay in downtown Albuquerque! I highly recommend this hotel!

Not what you'd expect from a Hyatt. I booked solely based on the comfort of using a name brand in an unfamiliar city. Was let down for a couple of reasons - some of which are beyond the control of the hotel itself.

If you are new to the area/visiting, the city itself is tiny. You would be just as good staying 15 minutes away in the suburbs. This hotel is in a very sketchy part of town with homeless people all over the place, a heavy minority population (didn't bother me, but may bother some; have your English/Spanish dictionary handy), and is in the heart of a downtown area with virtually nothing around. No restaurants, bars, entertainment to speak of. You will pretty much want to stay in the hotel.

My room was very clean upon first glance, with noticeably crisp sheets and fluffy pillows. There are a number of outlets in the room allowing even the most technologically demanding people with plenty of charging space. The rooms are also larger than most big city hotel rooms. A nice surprise.

Where this hotel lost points was in two areas. First, while taking a bowel movement, I happened to peek down and noticed that there was dried vomit on the underside of the bowl. Secondly, I opted to make myself a cup of coffee as I prepared for my meeting and found a bunch of fingernails in the in-room coffee kiosk.

I know they are trying as I see people cleaning the hallways, but it seems they are not paying enough attention to the little details that a more sophisticated/demanding traveler would expect.

The wife and I planted ourselves here for a couple of nights during our road trip so we could take (make) a homemade tour of ABQ "Breaking Bad" sites. Staying at this location put us smack dab in the middle of some of show scenes throughout the series. We planned it that way so our long day of touring would end at our place of rest. :)

Once we found the parking garage (which took a couple of laps around the block), we quickly found a spot, unpacked, and headed out on our first evening excursion.

Check-in was simple and the staff seemed to take pride in the fact that you're staying at a Hyatt Regency. They were kind and courteous and really at the top of their game, answering all of our questions and helping us figure out where to eat, etc. It was such a great feeling knowing we were going to be taken care of like that for the next two evenings.

The hotel has an interesting lobby. It shares space with an open seating area that has small gift shops and even a Starbucks. This was the first time I experienced anything like it, so it took a little getting used to, but it sure was nice having a Starbucks in the lobby for that quick fix!

Every employee that saw us as we were walking to the restaurant or walking in/out of the hotel building greeted us warmly and made us feel like they cared. At the same time, they were super chill so it made for a good mix of highly professional, but not so professional that you felt out of place. They really did a great job.

The room was spacious with a modern feel to it. Colors were gray which felt very business-like (not warm and homey). We asked for a high floor and they gave us a room on the top floor - 20th level! We opted for the downtown view (instead of the mountain view) and it was worth it. Very cool to be able to see most of the SW quadrant of ABQ.

Our stay package included breakfast each morning. I had the french toast with berries and the wife chose oatmeal. The second morning we had the buffet (which wasn't available the first morning because of a large banquet, we were told). We also had one dinner there where we shared a pizza and a caesar salad. All of the food was excellent which we didn't quite expect from a hotel restaurant. I definitely recommend eating here even if you're not staying at the hotel.

There are two bars available. One in the restaurant with TVs displaying sports games/news and one in the lobby with a live pianist which was really cool.

      I'm a big fan!

Got this through costco. The review is like 4 months overdue. Got their late like 10:30 pm. Plenty of free night street parking. Actually they allowed us to park free inside too but we didnt know.check in had a line, two people ahead of us. Didnt understand why there were 4 staff standing around but not helping guests. We asked for a different room from what they offered and they were accommodating. 4th floor to 12th floor. There were free masks at the counter and hand sanitizer. Room was clean. Strange no shower door. Modern stuff. A bit dark while in the shower. Shampoos were in dispense style. Beds were comfortable. We had to wake up at 6 am for the balloon fiesta so not much sleep. It's just nice to crash in a good temperature controlled room. It was a nice stay. They even told us that they had a viewing restaurant with breakfast items. But we were going to see the real thing.

Posh hotel in downtown Albuquerque. We spent New Year here and the place was completely booked so she wasn't able to upgrade us but she kindly waived the $18 parking fee for us which was great! The room was cleaned and spacious. The bedding and sheets are the distinct Hyatt Regency grade products that they used across this brand. It's thick but soft to the touch. The bed and pillow were also firm and comfortable to sleep on. the staff was really nice. My daughter left her iPad on the bed when we checked out. Housekeeping found it and safely stored it until we picked up. Overall nice stay and will stay here again.

As seasoned travelers, my husband and I are incredibly disappointed in our four night stay. My husband spends 125+ nights per year in hotels, recently switching to Hyatt due to location. This was, by far, one of our worst hotel experiences yet.

Upon checking in, we were told that despite multiple requests, no mini fridge could be procured for our room. Keep in mind, we were traveling with our five month old son, so a fridge would have enabled us to keep bottles on hand and food. We were told we would be put on a wait list if housekeeping didn't find one that afternoon. I'm confident this was simply lip service.

The room we were placed in was decent enough, but as bedtime approached, we could hear every conversation from the room next door. We wouldn't have minded had it not been for the persistent dog barking and child screaming coming from that room. The noise made bedtime next to impossible for our son.

We changed rooms that night and, lo and behold, a mini fridge was plugged in to the empty room. Struck me as odd given the "wait list" we were supposedly on. Unfortunately we couldn't stay in this room as the smell of cigarettes permeated the air. We called down to the front desk where Bryce was rude and condescending. He did find another room for us, albeit without a fridge.

I called down again the next morning to inquire about a fridge. I asked about the wait list and whomever I spoke to had zero knowledge of any such thing. Feels like I was placated without any follow through. We never did receive a mini fridge despite promises that they'd have one for us eventually.

Be warned, the staff here is NOT hospitable. Couple that with old, dirty, outdated rooms with paper thin walls and you have a not-so-happy family. The rooms are so trashed they're actually a safety hazard for children. I'll take my business back to Hilton and Marriott for future stays. I'm appalled.
