Ibis Northampton

One of the worst nights sleep I've ever had. The room was very basic, and fairly clean, but the noise was the major issue. The walls are thin and corridors are narrow. You can hear every movement in the other rooms and you hear people banging doors on other floors. It seems to be the type of hotel that attracts party goers, so there were drunk people running up the corridors, shouting and banging on doors until 3am! Really unpleasant, I actually didn't feel safe in the room. Staff didn't seem bothered.

Great central Northampton location, good value, friendly, clean with nice rooms.


The service is also helpful and friendly.


A bit soul less in a way that most mass produced hotel chains are, but still a good choice if you are staying in Northampton.

We had a great stay at this hotel! This hotel is situated in the Sol central complex that is in the heart of the town, literally a minutes' walk from the shops, restaurants, clubs and pubs. The Price was very good, although I would not book direct as I have found it to be cheaper to book through one of the hotel booking sites.
The hotel is clean, tidy and modern. The bedrooms were comfortable and of good quality, as others have said the rooms were very spacious.
We did not have breakfast, although I am sure they have a breakfast rate available. We went for breakfast in one of the many cafes, coffee shops in the town centre.
The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Stayed over a couple of months ago. beautiful room, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff. reception area was open 24/7

Like other reviews the location of this hotel is very useful, close to the train station and the main shopping area.


The hotel is very clean, lots of space, the staff are very helpful if not a little pre-occupied at times. This hotel is part of a larger complex and therefore the hotel is located around two outside corners of the building, it is quite a walk from the lifts to the far end of the rooms if you are carrying lots of luggage.


The room was spacious, very clean and the bathroom good.


I did not have breakfast but I did eat in the evening the food was okay but the service could have been better.

This hotel is located in the heart of the town centre. So very close to amenities such as pubs, restaurants and shops. The entrance to the hotel is on a busy high street which could cause some issues with luggage/parking for some people. I found the hotel clean with spacious rooms and a good bathroom. I thought it exceeded the two star rating it had. Breakfasts are not included with room rate. The price for a room sleeping two people is around the £60 mark.
