Walked in, friendly greeting, brought my rifle in from the car and had it serviced immediately at a reasonable price. Will definitely keep them in mind for future gunsmithing.

I had to sell some old rifles and a shotgun left by my father and grandfather, non of them in very good condition. The guys at J&G were straight on their estimates and gave me fair prices. I have a background in firearms so felt they went a bit above. I definitely would return for purchases.

Had a fire in my garage and while my guns appeared ok, I wanted a gunsmith to check them out. I was told it would be 6-9 weeks but they finished quickly (1-2) and the work was extremely good!

I had a scope that needed to be removed and another mounted as I could not get the mount screws out without stripping them. They took me in right and about a half an hour later they called and told me the gun was ready. It was the best $35.00 I have spent in a long time. I highly recommend this business.

I dropped my Sig 45 like a dumb turd before I bought a holster. It shot high left. Took it in since I trust and have known them for a long time. The guy said give me a few minutes. I browsed around and ten minutes later he was done. During an upcoming qualification I punched out a 2 and 1/2" bullseye with 28 rounds. Spot on at 15 yards.

Over the years I have bought a couple of guns from these folks. prices have always be fair, but where they really shine is the gunsmith services. Over the last few months I have taken four firearms to them,2 Remington model 11 ( humpbacks) for cleaning and general " tuneup " and 2 handguns for repair. The shotguns operate without any hiccups. 1 of the handguns is a ruger security six (357 mag) that I had sent to ruger about 10 years ago for repair ( bent ejection rod) and was told it was not repairable. I took it to these folks And their gunsmith said " no problem " I'll call you when it's done. I definitely recommend this shop. I will not take my firearms anywhere else.

Over the years, I've had J & G perform repairs to a variety of my weapons. I've always had the very best of results. I'm one case, with my Remington 40X they made a scope suggestion that turned out to be spot on, and saved me hundreds of dollars. It boils down to experience, ... they have it. Sure, there will be those times where a repair is more pricey than quoted, but like everything mechanical in life there can be complications. I've never once left their store feeling anything less than satisfied.
I've also purchased a couple of weapons from them, today I bought a M14. The price was extremely competitive and the personal experience relayed to me from the staff helped me make a quick decision. Again, saving time and money due to their knowledge.
In these troubled and wary times, especially in Calif, it's vital to support these locally owned gun stores. The big box stores close, they come and go. Several of them go politically correct and stop carrying guns altogether. During times of stress, Covid 19 for instance, the box stores close whereby the stores like J & G stay open. This is exactly why I support the owner operator stores. Nothing more useless than a weapon that's broken or one without ammunition.
Go to J & G, you won't be disappointed. Be patient, be respectful and you'll enjoy the same service as I have.
