Excellent experience here at this JC Penney! I was in the store last week to purchase a "mother of the groom dress". In normal fashion I went to the store early, it was clean, restrooms were clean, and so were the dressing rooms. The sales floor looked organized too.

I found a lovely dress that was originally 140$ reduced to 105$. A sales associate spotted me making my way to the cashier and asked if I had a prom dress. I told her it was a "mother of the groom" dress. She handed me a coupon for another reduction. Unfortunately that promotion hadn't started. A really kind though that I appreciated. When I got to the register I was offered a promo of 15% to pay with any payment or 20% off w a Penneys charge. The dress turned out to be 89$. I was so happy!

I would like to say that in my experiences JC Penney employees are very top notch, helpful and friendly. They're visible and looking out to save you money at the register. This wasn't the first time they advised me of promotions I never knew existed. Keep up the great work!

I have also ordered from.com where the selection is never ending and the shipping is super fast. I got 4 dresses and a printed t shirt for 79$ which would have been several hundred dollars.

I was very skeptical when I heard JCP was changing their business plan to keep prices low and eliminate clearance (which is where I usually shop)

But to my suprise their prices are low... super low and that is the every day prices. They also put some items on sale for a month at a time, no more crazy 4 hour sales and things like that.

Prices here are at or below the prices that I used to pay for clearance items that I would normally have a hard time finding in my size.

This review is specifically for the Portrait Studio.

I found a great deal on Christmas cards ($30 for 60 cards, no sitting fee) on living social which I couldn't pass up so I decided to try the portrait studio. I made an appointment in advance and came in on a Friday afternoon. After a short wait to allow the studio to be cleaned after the previous patrons, my family was taken back for pictures. Victoria was our photographer, I believe she is also the portrait studio manager, she was full of energy and instantly got my 18 month old to warm up to her. She took about 20 shots and out of them we found 4 that we liked for our Christmas cards. We were in and out in about 45 minutes total, which is important if you have an impatient toddler.

Honestly for $30 I was not expecting much, Victoria and her team far exceeded our expectations. She was easy to work with and we will return if another deal becomes available.

I would give 5 stars if more shots were taken and I liked more of the pictures, some turned out a bit awkward!

JC Penny is trying hard to resurrect its failing business.
Prices are, indeed, somewhat lowernow - no coupons or a sale every other week.

Decent variety of ladies and kids clothes.

This isn't a bad store, and the prices are lower than Kohl's or Macy's.

The store looks good. I just can't imagine that they'll get anyone into the store who is under 50, unless they have Sephora or something equally important to someone younger.

I can't say that I saw anyone working there, and there weren't many people in the store.

I've been to this mall before, been to other JCPenney stores around the area but on 12/3/16 was my first time at this location. Very clean and organized. I didn't exactly find the jeans that I wanted at this location but there's always sales going on.

It says it closes at 9:30 and I try to get to the parking lot at 9:05 and they just closed the doors in my face and wouldn't open them. All while being pregnant and with an infant. Just said they were closed. Laughed and walked away. Horrible people working there.

A very unfortunate experience. We were delayed by 2mins and Robert Respiss (an angry person), was extremely rude to us esp. considering the holidays and my mother being ill. He hardly bothered to say let me find another slot or see if anyone cancels. He just screamed at us and was condescending in tone. We will never go here again. Hopefully the manager, Victoria will read this and take disciplinary action with this individual, who does not know customer service and respect to the elderly (my parents).

The store is clean and spacious. Our cashier Phil in the furniture section was courteous and professional. We really appreciated his service.

Last year JC Penny's had great men's clothes. Now it's just a sea of oversized cargo shorts and polos. Dissapointing. It feels like Sears in here now.
