JJ's is a local bar that you always love to go to. The people are always interesting and friendly. The drinks are cheap. The only bad thing and the only reason I'm giving you a four star is because it's cash only and that is frustrating for this term age when people don't care cash around with them anymore.

Cheap billiards, affordable cocktails. I think $5 well cocktails! Pretty great :) I'd come back again if I were in the area

Nice little Cash Only dive bar. Great price for a shot of Don Julio 1942 - only $22. Most other places start around $30. If i come back to Soquel, I'll definitely come back.

Cheap drinks and good times at a local watering hole and you are sure to enjoy. From The Brothers ceiling to the neon signs.

They have 2 pool tables that are $1.00 per game. Not bad tables for bar boxes. They have shuffleboard, lots of large tvs, an outdoor patio for smoking with a drink and a full bar. Prices seem standard for the area for a dive bar. Many restaurants in the area, but all close early. I will be back.

I gotta say this bar has some friendly bartenders! I have only been a few times but I was starving one night and I remember the bartender giving me pizza and just joking like we were great friends. It just is a bar that aims to please the customer without screaming I WANT YOUR MONEY! If if was closer it would probably be my main bar. It's got shuffleboard, pool, and I believe darts but don't quote me, this is me trying to remember a not so crystal clear night! But seriously a great dive bar with good staff and worth the visit.

I just started a new job down the street and stopped in on a Monday Night to check out the 49ers - Cardinals game from Mexico City. I'm a fairly new transplant to Santa Cruz County from Buffalo via San Jose so my football loyalties are all Buffalo Bills. No worries at JJ's. I went to buy my favorite beer on tap-HAZY Little Thing IPA from Sierra Nevada pulled out my debit card and Aaron (very cool bartender) said "cash only". Before I could even make my way to the ATM machine Tom (Ariz Cardinals fan) ...funny guy, bought me my beer. Very cool. On the 2nd drink for both of us I reciprocated after finding a $20 in my wallet. Oh by the way...My Hazy Little Thing cost $5.50 I believe...Happy Hour? not sure but that beer usually costs me $8 in a bar or brewery. Tom stepped away and Rob showed up...Raiders fan. Another cool dude. Told me some great stories about watching the Raiders play in London & Mexico City. Moral of the story. JJ's Saloon is down to earth, good people & very fair prices. I will be back!

I really like this place, I'm not in Soquel too often but when I am and the timing is right, I always stop in for a drink at JJ's. I would call this a classy dive bar. Its small and a bit divey but the people that hang out there seem to be a bit less shady than you would find at a true dive bar. They have a great selection of draft beers and all the booze you could ever want at reasonable prices.
Im a fan!
