The inside is very clean. The staff is friendly. The presentation of the food in the cases is beautiful. I came in to order the fish and chips. It was lunch time but I decided to order a regular portion since I wanted a larger fish. It was cooked fresh to order and I ordered for takeaway. The wait was fine considering fresh cook to order. I was asked if I wanted salt and vinegar and of course yes!
I would say in general I enjoyed the fresh cod it was a lovely cut and cooked perfectly. I was surprised by a few things.
I was served about one kg of chips. Way too many chips for one person. The chips had a nice flavor but seemed a bit mushy. Maybe a little undercooked?
Only my chips got salt and vinegar which meant the fish stayed crispy for takeaway but it was also bland. Also I wasn't provided any tartar sauce. Maybe that needs to be ordered separately? Could have been a rookie mistake on my part. Was this the best in London? No but it could be.
Serve half as many chips, put salt and vinegar on the fish as well as the chips, and ask the customer if he or she would like tartar sauce. Overall above average but not quite the best!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 5. Mai 2017
I had fish and chips take out order from Kennedy's. I did not personally visit the location. The fish and chips had large portions of fish and chips; sufficiently large that I shared the dinner with another and still felt full. We also shared sides of cole slaw and mushy peas. The coleslaw was creamy. I liked the mushy peas although I am not an expert on mushy peas. I'd recommend their fish and chips and would consider their location the next time I have fish and chips in London.

Oh tooting how I love you so! Seriously delicious chips and always great service. Not a huge fan of the mushy peas or regular sausage was a bit dry(to be honest not my taste at all, could hardly stomach more then a bite- next time I'm told to try the other ones)--but the chips time and time again make up for it. Love the interior and is never crowded here, so i feel like i can always douse my chips with vinegar in peace.

Kennedy's are arguably the best fish and chip shop in Streatham. I would happily argue this until blue in the face.
Last night, I got myself some post-surgery celebration chips - with cod, onion gravy and mushy peas. You know how you have to fast before surgery, even if it's minor? Well, by the time I got home at 8pm, I was famished. Kennedy's made it all ok. Kennedy's are WONDERFUL. Not only is the fish superbly white and fluffy, in a crisp, golden batter, and the chips fat and plentiful, but the service is efficient. Long live properly FAST food.
The mushy peas were nothing to write home about (not bad, but not amazing like the fish and the chips). But the onion gravy? Om nom nom.
I ended up stuffed after just half a plateful - I guess that comes from fasting all day. But leftover chips for breakfast? Thank you very much... :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julia D.London, Vereinigtes Königreich24758823431. Mai 2015
My husband discovered this place and wouldn't stop raving about it until I tried it. I'm really happy I did. The chips are superb and the fish is crispy and fresh. It's very quick.
There's a few small tables to sit down, but it's mostly a takeaway.
I definitely need to try more places in Streatham, but this makes the list of one of my favorites.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Caio M.Miami, Vereinigte Staaten1812329. Dez. 2016
My girlfriend and I were recommended this restaurant by a very friendly cab driver when we asked for a local place for some good fish and chips. This place is AMAZING. The best sampler appetizer platter and fish and chips I've ever eaten in my entire life. Staff is very friendly and polite, our waitress even offered to call us a cab after our dinner. Very well priced and amazing food! Must visit place for the best fish in chips in London.

Kennedy's is the best Fish and Chip shop in London, in fact it may be the best I have ever tasted, I'm glad I don't live closer to Streatham Hill station as I would be in here all the time.
The chips are perfect, chunky and in no way greasy. Everything is freshly cooked, the portions are massive and it is always packed out on a Friday.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Andrea B.Streatham Hill, London, Vereinigtes Königreich0129. Apr. 2020
Love this place, great place to get fish and chips! We come here often, the food is delicious and the portion sizes are more than generous. 10/10 would recommend if you're in the area.

Best. Chips. In. London.
Plus big props for their butternut squash pie. And mushy peas for the side.
The only problem is this is right by my gym! And often erases all my hard work!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Monika W.Gillingham, Vereinigtes Königreich0711. Sept. 2017
