A good place to go in the Alstadt for a typical German breakfast...salami and/or wurst, cheese, a roll, house made marmalade, tomato, cucumber, and excellent coffee. And, of course...lots of pastries and cakes! One of the best lattes (toffee and caramel) I had (twice) on my three week visit...sehr lecker!!! If the weather is nice, you can sit outside, across from the church, and just soak up this beautiful part of the Alstadt (complete with horse drawn wagons). Don't miss the Saturday market! The only negative thing I can say is about the numerous and incessant yellow jackets...inside the bakery case and swarming you outside while you eat...but, this was a problem almost everywhere we went this summer. Just one of those things to remind you that life is never perfect...
