This is a really adorable place where you take off your shoes before sitting down to dine at the cute Japanese styled tables. I love the set up of the restaurant.

They have a massive menu that was a little bit overwhelming to look through. Luckily, I already narrowed it down before coming in and knew I wanted some type of Ramen. I went for the Tori Katsu Ramen.

It wasn't bland by any means, just not very pleasant. The broth have a sour taste to it which reminds me of Thai cuisine like Tom Yum soup, except not nearly as good. They also gave a lot more food than they did broth so once I mixed everything up, my food just soaked up a ton of liquid making it very unpleasant to eat. I also did not think it through when ordering and forgot what Katsu was. I have no clue why they would put something breaded in a soup base dish where it quickly got soggy and unbearable to eat. The crust was completely falling apart and separating from the meat making it extremely unappetizing. It did not have good flavors which made it even less appealing. I could barely finish half of my food. For €17 ($19.30usd) per bowl, I was expecting so much more.

We got 2 bowls of Ramen and 1 bottle of still water for €45. Not worth it in my opinion.

I went here with a friend who is a regular. She knew exactly what to order which was great because the waiter wasn't forthcoming with information. She had to insist she had some items before, it was as if he didn't want to sell us those items as he was pushing something else. If she was with me I would return. Not without her though.

Wonderful service and delicious food! An abundance of culture for me and my family, visiting from California and Virginia! What a pleasant Christmas dinner.
      Also, very suitable for groups...
      I will come here again!

Very relaxing place where you can either eat sushi at the bar or at a table with cushions and a lowered floor. The service is great and the staff speaks German, English and Japanese. I'm sure they possibly speak others but that's all that I heard. The sushi reminded me when I visited Tokyo and the quality was just as good. It's my new favorite sushi place in Stuttgart.

Great Japanese restaurant. God service and food. Pick the individual sushi, the set menues are boring.

Best sushi in Stuttgart next to Kicho and I love Sushi. Don't know why Kikuya doesn't get the credit it deserves. The fish is superb, I never was disappointed when having dinner at Kikuya. It isn't even that expensive. Maybe a bit pricey for some compared to other sushi bars, but hey quality over quantity, right? Most of us Germans tend to be cheap nowadays and confuse quantity with quality. If you truly love Sushi and appreciate great quality you will love Kikuya!

We went two friend on 14.02 for a dinner. + The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, very standard yet authentic Japanese style, with long tables, what makes it however quite not intimate if this what you are looking for. The sushi quality is ok, not in anyway extraordinary. Seaweed quality, rice quality and fish quality are good. Again more the Japanese plain style (do not expect the Californian style sushi). Price is reasonable Service is a total catastrophe: the waitresses said to me faster faster to chose food from the menu!!! even though I WAS indeed very fast and had almost no questions. At the beginning she even didn't take the order from me and went away No service during the dinner (full ignoration). First came the food I ordered and only after 10 minutes came my friends' dishes Misu soup was ridiculously small. Tomato salad came with hard and white inedible tomatoes. Tempura was too short in oil, what made is totally uncrispy and inedible. Cola comes in glasses 0.2l and not in original bottles. I told my critic to the shift manager she said: sorry it will never happen again. For me it is not an answer, when I don't get a real compensation for this bad service and food. In one word: NO!
