King William Restaurant

This is a very special place which I'm a bit evangelical about as I think not many people know about it (though the awkward opening hours don't help it). Underneath the famous Painted Hall in the Greenwich Naval College is a lovely room which holds a restaurant catered by Leiths catering company. For a mere £12 you can have a simply delicious Sunday roast, dessert and coffee on a Sunday lunchtime which is nothing short of a steal considering most pubs are charging up to £10 for a roast on Sundays. It's a beautiful historical setting and the food is wonderful, it's also very quiet so if your children are of an age when they'll sleep in there pram it's great for a little romantic lunch with your other half as they won't be woken by rowdy groups. Check it out, it's a real only in England treat!
