Kings Arms

I love a place that serves the cask ales, so I knew I'd like this place. What else to like?

- great location from my local hotel and canal boats
- nice outdoor patio (see link to cask ales?),
- a nice portion on the fish and chips and the salmon

Had a lovely meal with very helpful staff. Several weeks later I received a parking fine, even though I had entered the registration in the restaurant. I contacted them and spoke to Gabriella who was amazingly helpful and sorted the fine for me.

Fantastic Food and atmosphere. Sit outside next to the river and watch the boats travel through the lock. I had the steak and ale pie (like Shepard pie) and it was fantastic. I ordered a side salad as well with house dressing. The salad was made of fresh spring mix, tomatoes, cucumber and onion. House dressing was very good. Plenty of beer on tap. Certainly a hidden gem.

Rude obnoxious little man of a land lord. Just turned up to the pub after a 10k walk for local charity, while in the queue someone rudely barged into my back and shoved past me. I stopped the person when I saw them coming back past me I said "say excuse me next time rather than barging me" and he immediately barred me. Rude little tiny man.
