Best beer in the world! It doesn't hurt that your elevation is 3000 feet and has a great view! The food is typical German fare. The bread and cheese are served with a special spice that compliments the beer very well.
The Klosterbier is worth every cent. Go with friends or make new friends while enjoying the best beer in the world!
And then, take some beer home! I have the 3 liter version from a few years ago and they refilled it for me without a problem. It is better when fresh and the resealable top helps keep it that way for a couple of days.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ronald F.Reston, Vereinigte Staaten225517. Sept. 2016
If you are ever in Germany and a beer connoisseur then this is number one or two on the list
Klosterbrauerei Kreuzberg located in Kreuzberg, "the Holy Mountain" is one of the Rhön Mountains in southern Germany. Its elevation is 928 m (3,045 ft). In the fall and winter it is beautiful here. This is a working Monastery where monks are the masters of brewing some of the finest beer in all of Germany here ... along with excellent cheese and bread
Luckily for me I use to work within a few hours of the monastery !
The dark bock beer here is one of the finest I have ever tasted !
The wheat Pils is excellent
There is a Christmas Bock Beer that is one of a kind in the world
beautiful countryside mountains in an outdoor community style German drinking area with
the grounds ...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Juan R.Olympia, Vereinigte Staaten2710321317. Juni 2012
Famous Kreuzberg beer. The monks know how to brew! The drive to the "kloster" or monastery can be a little much, but make sure to stop in the many little towns in your way to it. Make sure you get some euro out, too.
Once there, you park down the hill from the monastery (1.50 euro) and walk up. Secure a nice table and then make your way to the drinks booth and orders as much beer as you want (remember you are also paying for the deposit, if you want it back return the mugs and/or bottles).
But if you are going to make a meal of it, grab a tray then head to the register and order your food. The menu are on the walls, but also online. Anything pork or sausage is great. If you aren't too hungry, get some bread, butter, and cheese and enjoy the beer. Roast pork is great so if you are hungry check it out!
Sit inside if its cold or rainy, but beware its packed and you'll have to fight to just share a table. If its nice, go outside, the atmosphere is very pleasant, plus it won't be so loud.
They offer tours and they have a gift shop inside. But if anything just have a beer, it won't dissapoint.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rebecca D.Washington, DC, Vereinigte Staaten105611. März 2013
This was a fun excursion for my husband and me. We enjoyed walking around the area, despite it being covered in snow. I really enjoyed seeing the inside of the church there. I didn't explore the indoors of as many things as I would have liked, so I will probably go back in the next couple years.
We enjoyed our meal and especially, of course, the BEER. We met with some friends and enjoyed a few frosty beverages.
Then, we got some to take home :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (daszn…)Fulda, Hessen10321010. Apr. 2008Aktualisierter Beitrag
The monastery Kreuzberg has a very good beer, which is also available in bottles or even better in barrels to carry it to celebrations and parties. I think the most drunken beer is the dark beer. It has an original gravity of 12.5%, an alcohol content of 5.4%, the yeast is bottom-fermented. The secret malt mixture gives the Dark beer has been a strong color and the spicy aroma and full-bodied.. Then you get the bright yet Pils, differs in alcohol content, it is 5.6%. The bright yeast-wheat in the yeast top-fermented has the same values as the Pils and you can get it from May to October. The absolute Ultra beer is the Christmas Bock beer with a gravity of 17.5%, an alcohol content of 7.6% and bottom-fermented yeast, it will be stored a quarter of a year and is suitable only for experienced beer drinkers! All beers are unfiltered. They contain valuable yeast, protein and minerals. It will be filled on order only. So you always get fresh beer. On the other hand, you can have a wonderful hike, e.g. a circular to the crucifixion group. From there you have a nice view in the distance.

So bekommt man stets frisches Bier.
Zum anderen kann man dort schön wandern, z.B. einen Rundweg zur Kreuzigungsgruppe.
Von dieser hat man dann einen schönen Ausblick in die Ferne.
