The chicken fried steak was good, the gravy was quite tasty. They did a good job on the over easy eggs and crispy home fries... the pancake was the weak point of the meal- not fluffy, stuck to the plate, difficult to cut.

Lazy Bear was the perfect lunch spot on our road trip to Escalante Utah from Denver. It was easy in and out in New Castle and who doesn't love Bears and Chandelier decor. This family-owned business is friendly and popular with the locals. I ordered a Rueban (yes, I have been on a Reuban kick lately) and the husband ordered a Turkey Club. The portions were generous, and the 1000 Island on Reuban was tasty. Service was quick and we were on our way in less than an hour.

A few years ago we tried this place a couple times and it wasn't very good.
We took time away from here but a few months ago, we gave it another try and to our surprise, it was great!
The service was fast and friendly, the atmosphere was good and the food was delicious and plentiful! We have been back several times since and it's just as good or better as the last time. Not sure if it's new owners, managers or cooks but they have definitely fixed things!
The prices are good, especially for the amount of food you get! We will probably be back in a week or two! I definitely recommend this place!!

TL;DR: decent place but I probably wouldn't return.

Taste: 2 out of 3 of my order was alright.

We ordered: Greek omelette with hash brown and pancakes (not pictured) and chai latte. The Greek omelette and hash brown was pretty good. My pancake tasted.... Dirty? I took one bite and immediately spat it out... I didn't realize you could mess up pancakes. My chai latte was very very diluted l.

Parking: street parking, it was easy to find.

Delightful little family-owned restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. Food is pretty good, stopped here for breakfast (huevos rancheros), and would recommend it as a easy-going stop when traveling the area.

Delicious, fresh, hot. Large portions. I had the veggie skillet. Amazing! Definitely worth the stop.

First visit here from Denver, and my husband and I were very impressed. The owner was the only person working the restaurant and it was full, yet he was still able to greet, seat and serve every customer promptly. He was very friendly and provided excellent service. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. This is a very nice place to slow down and enjoy your meal and appreciate the way of a small town. 10/10, would definitely recommend if you come out this way!
